Bazooka was a favorite of mine that I was glad to see Hasbro update. This version is a beast of a figure in size being slightly taller and definitely wider than most other figures.
Like a lot of the wave 9 figures, this figure has an all new sculpt that makes Bazooka look almost exactly like the original. The only difference here is the collar no longer looks like a blue neckerchief, but like the collar of the jersey it is. The helmet now has a chin strap that can attach around Bazooka's chin, or just hang off to the side. The backpack also has a lot of upgrades. The bazooka can now hook onto the bottom of it and the missiles are all removable from the backpack and can even go into the bazooka! The one drawback to this figure is that his knees only have one joint instead of two like most of the figures. I'm still a little confused as to why Hasbro does this to the bigger sized figures like Bazooka and Roadblock. Bazooka comes with a Helmet, Backpack, Bazooka, 4 missiles and a GI Joe stand with his name on it.
This Bazooka is a perfect 25th representation of the original one. All the updates do nothing but add greatness to an already great figure.

Looks great. I'm betting that he will have trouble staying on his stand much like Roadblock. I can't wait to get mine.

I'd be surprised if Hasbro didn't use this figure as a base for either Outback or Big Brawler.

That's the first reason I wanted him...to make a Fridge. Once I got him open, I liked him too much and must wait for a second.
Oh, and I have not had any problems with him falling off the stand.

I'm kinda at a loss for this figure. I'm glad everyone likes it, I'm not a fan though. It's way too big, stand him beside any of the SE body figures and he looks way out of proportion. On top of that, I dont understand making a new body for him when so many other figures are bastardized repaints. If the Fridge is a possibility I guess I can see it, or maybe with the new love of the line there will be less repaints, but I dont see how this figure wasn't a Roadblock repaint with new arms legs and a head.
Was he really supposed to be that big or was he ever draw or represented that way?

My guess is they did'nt give him knees is because he would be pretty top heavy with the backpack on.Just to be on the safe side.Maybe they they his knees would give out over time.

I think he was supposed to be that big. They really represented him that way more so in the DDP comics than anything before it, but he as presented as big in the Marvel as well.

Bazooka is an awesome figure and I think it's a really odd criticism to say that he was made "too well" and should have just been another cheapo kit-bash. It also sends a terrible message to Hasbro that we're willing to settle for substandard figures. In a perfect world, EVERY figure should utilize 100% original parts and there should be no kit-bashing whatsoever. So I think Hasbro should be applauded whenever they go the extra mile for a figure, not criticized.

Actually, he's the same height as all the rest of the figures from the wave and there are differences of height in real life, so it just makes the figures look more diverse and realistic. Instead of everyone looking like they are 6 foot tall and 185 pounds.

today, I just scored all Wave 9 figures. Let me tell you, they all look awesome. Bazooka is pretty cool too. However, he makes Roadblock looked dwarf. overall, I am very satisfied with wave 9. NO COMPLAIN HERE.

Yeah, you're right. They should all be new sculpts...just look at that new Leatherneck. My thought is we know they are going to reuse every part they can, and this figure seems like it would not have suffered too much from a new head, arms, and legs on a roadblock body.
And the figure is not as tall as the others, its significantly taller and bigger than the rest...put that guy next to an SE and a Roadblock and tell me he isnt too big. Its a good figure, please don't think I'm saying its bad. I just dont understand it.

Let's please not bring up the new Leatherneck. A little piece of me died inside when I saw that figure today. I can sort of understand reusing arms and legs, but reusing heads is just unforgivable, IMHO.

You're preaching to the choir, every figure should have its own head...then again, I'm currently painting a Snow Job head to put on my Breaker..

Well, I have no problem with customizers reusing heads, but customizers in general are only making figures for themselves or a few of their friends. Hasbro is a multi-billion dollar corporation so they have no excuse for using one head sculpt for multiple characters.

he's pretty good, but i don't like the overly bulky look and lack of double jointed knees. His accessories and deco are ace!

Nice piccies. Good to see the missiles in his backpack properly at last, well done!
Another great wave 9 figure, with mine currently winging his way across the Atlantic to me. Not too sure about the helmet strap - Why recreate something that would be so small at this scale? - but overall, still eminently 'have-able'!!

My opinion as a customizer is that a new body type is always welcome. I collect Cobras and make Cobras in my customs. So while I don't care for "Bazooka", I do like the idea of having a large brawny body type. I will probably pick a couple of these up just for fodder.
