25th Customs: Topside and Cobra De Aço

this one is a pretty simple straight repaint. i altered the original design slightly by leaving the goggles black, and putting a little less silver (mainly by painting the legs almost entirely black). i also decided to go with a less shiny silver head than the original chrome look. the only modification made was to the neck, where i had to lengthen it slightly.

Topside:

Head/helmet - Crankcase (courtesy of Shogi)
Torso/Upper arms - Cobra Trooper
Lower Arms - Shipwreck
Hands - Beachhead
Legs - Snake Eyes (wave 7)
Vest - Viper

Another (largely) repaint. The design aspects that i changed when compared to the original is that i used a slightly darker shade of blue on his shirt, gave him gloved hands and some pants with pockets. i also changed the writing on his vest from "NAVY" to just an "N". The only modifications to the base figure parts were the cutting off of some of the parts of the Viper vest that stuck out (grenades, pockets, etc) and the removal of Shipwreck's tattoo via razorblade (ouch!)

I like the Cobra De Aço! I kinda wished Hasbro would have done the same thing and made it their SDCC exclusive over the CC in biz suit, but OK, better than nothing.

Like the De Aco, But I'm not feeling the Topside right now. I'm working on a Topside also but so hard to find a vest thats right

yeah, i know what you mean about the vest. the only way to make a really ARAH-accurate one would be to make it oneself, probably. i decided to go a different direction and slightly modify a Viper vest.

make sure you post pics when/if you do a Topside. based on your other customs, i am sure it will be about 100x better than mine.
