The way I see it, if Hasbro's gonna repaint like crazy, we should get some decent guys out of it! I mean to me, and other's have stated this before, Beach Head and Firefly look like completely different figures for only having different heads and gear. That said I'm hoping they give us a Shockwave from the BH mold. Throw in the hat and a new vest for good measure and you'd have a pretty super figure for just being a repaint.

The reason I'm not planning on getting Firefly is because he's just a repaint of Beachhead. And I would only get Shockwave if he was a newly sculpted figure. I really hope Hasbro doesn't get lazy and decide to use the same few molds over and over again to squeeze out new characters just because they think it's "close enough". And judging by the way the figures have been selling so far, I would hope Hasbro would give the G.I. Joe line a little more freedom budget-wise for more new molds.

I'd rather have new molds instead of repaints. But I'd rather them use Snake-Eyes to make some more of the original 13 than Shockwave.

I second that...we need more new molds, although I would like to see a shockwave figure.

Hmmmmm... I have to disagree with those of you who are upset about some molds being used to create new figures. I was 11 years old in '82 and I thought the original 13 Joes were the best thing I ever saw. 10 figures shared 3 heads and aside from some slight variations (Scarlett being an exception to the rule) 12 shared about 3 different body types. I like the idea that these different accessories can be used to create completely different figures in the same way as a couple of different accessories, a different head, and a slight change in color made the difference between Zap and Short Fuse.
Truth be told- in my estimation Flint and Duke are completely individualistic figures even though they share the same body. I think the formula works and it's not like it's something new to G.I. Joe fans. This is a time tested formula that we' ve never complained about in the past.
After all, the 25th Anni Stalker and Hawk are just repaints of Snake Eyes with a new head, but we don't have a problem with that because that' s exactly how they were originally.

Hasbro is a large corporate version of you, customizing existing figures to create new characters. If it works, why not?
