How did it really go down when Firefly was hired to retrieve the rogue BAT from Chicago in issue 13?
Issue 13 indicates General Winters paid Firefly to retrieve the BAT. Firefly then confesses to the Joes that his client (Winters) paid him to sabotage the BAT to send the message that no one is untouchable.
But in issue 23, Serpentor tells Dr Mindbender that he hired Firefly to steal the BAT from Mindbender, hoping it would lead Mindbender to himself.
