It's a pretty sad day when the best you can say about a figure is ''it's not as bad as it could have been.'' I really dislike being negative and try to find the positives in most things, so it pains me to see so much potential going to waste.

So here's my Review of the Captain Britain single carded figure from the CA:TFA line. He has some pretty major issues (his sculpt is particularly weird, proportion-wise), the paint is a bit sloppy and his joints aren't great but at least he's not as bad as yesterday's US Agent.

Thanks for the review. You point out how cheap companies are being yet expecting us to fork over bookoo bucks for tripe. glad I don't collect this stuff anymore.

Yeah, I could almost overlook the cheaper quality of the toy if he were, well, cheaper! As it stands though he's $8+, which is crazy money for a figure of this quality.

Thanks for the writeup. I had contemplated picking up Brian as I am a fan, but I have the ML version and the really bad paint apps made it a no brainer to pass.

No problems - I hope it helped!

And yeah the paint app is weak, although to the figure's credit, they got the costume chevrons right here. The MU version's costume is just plain wrong!

I got one of these with the Kmart 3 pack. I was pretty happy with the MU figure. Not a huge fan of Captain Brittain so interesting to hear a fans take.

Yeah, I considered the 3-Pack but the local K-Mart is pretty crappy and only seems to have a few MU Iron Men on their pegs whenever I go in.

The MU one is pretty good but I was just disappointed that his costume chevrons were wrong. And mine had pretty floppy knees... :(

Thanks.

You can check-out the MU Version Review here (if you haven't already.) He's still not great but he's much better than the CA:TFA version. I think looking back I was maybe a little harsh due to the costume inaccuracy but it did - and still does - annoy me that they couldn't get it right.
