now then...if you need some cheering...i'll cheer you on...want to brainstorm? great! but this shit isn't gonna write itself :P oh and why not do some customs of your vision of night adder...when you were describing him i was like "oh so road pig was a cobra before he was a 'nok" but then you said dark skin and i was like "wtf doesn't this guy know road pig is a white guy" and then you referred to him as "night adder" and i was like "road p---ooooh night adder...isn't a troop builder it's a specific character...well done sir 2 points" though before road pig i pictured bane...but i quickly reminded myself that wasn't the case.

i do like that you're starting with how they acquired cobra island...and i'm very much anticipating the introduction of firefly...you are introducing firefly aren't you? i mean it's FIREFLY...i've not read much about wraith...but he should kill duke...preferably while talking with flint on the sat phone...i want flint to hear him die...is that sick? the fact that i want one fictitious character that's been portrayed in plastic as a toy for decades to audibly witness the death of another fictitious character? yeah i think it is...but oh well i utterly despise duke...though i suppose it's possible that your story could change my mind about him...would take something fucking epic though...i mean it's duke the hatred of him runs deep within me.

i have no idea how big of a scope this story will have...though i can say that i imagine it could continue for years...hell look at what ole' larry's done with it.

thus far...i'm enjoying the rising action that's building towards the utter destruction of both the rebels and the general...i'm wishing flint is captured and escapes in one of those all black suvs with a bumper that could take out a house...although flint is a pilot (a veritable requirement of being a gi joe...i mean everyone is) so stealing a rattler would work...though i'd love to see artwork of your vision of what a rattler is...4 engines and a tandem seater with the pilot in the rear...yeah this i need to see sounded like a cross between a harrier and an apache.

one of those two bastards are going to get it...but it's cobra and not "sunbow cobra" which means when rounds start going down range...targets start dropping, besides why would night adder unsnap his holster (which i would think is holstering something like a Casull .454 or a S&W model 500) and "captain red beard mustachio" would smile and think to himself "soon" i mean c'mon someone's going to be buying the farm...and it sure as shit won't be cobra/destro/flint/duke so yeah...one or both must go, then cobra can recuit the entire island into the blueshirt ranks...and then low light and beachead can run amok through the streets "relaxin and blastin" everything that moves, suffice to say it's a good thing you're writing this because i'm sure by now everyone in my story would be dead.

i still like night adder being a unique character, a popular option considering the look of the figure...and the name it just seems like it should be "one dude"

the Valkyrie huh? a skystriker replacement? if it is and it's piloted by Ace...i swear to god if he's a pompous asshole i'll do a spin off story of him eatting it on the side of a cliff (yeah that's right ace pilot extraordinaire doesn't get shot down...he fucking wrecks) still want to see some type of inspirational visuals of this rattler, and i'm rambling but i'm all jacked up on redbull

The Valkyrie is a VTOL cross between an Apache and a Blackhawk. There are no visuals for the Rattler, but I have made production blueprints for the Valkyrie. I started building one from scratch. It is to replace the old Tomahawk. Anyway you'll see/read about it pretty soon.

OK i've been quiet on these last few entries...just consider that everything i've been saying applies completely.

However...this most recent one...very wordy, (i'm one to talk...i know) the rising action was still very present...it was always like it was building to something which is what i love...ok time for a metaphor

this particular entry was like driving a car: much like all of your entries are this one there wasn't a constant increase in speed/momentum it "revved" and "relaxed" like driving down the interstate in the passing lane 45-55-65-75-85" miles an hour in a corvette and a toyota tercel pulls over forcing you to slam on the breaks "Screeeeeech" back down to 45mph...then back up again and "SCREEEEECH" back to 45...that make sense? it probably doesn't. Oh and the end...true statements "duke does suck" so i like flint...although i don't know that i'd envision the two of them saying that...it was still funny because i was like "HAH yeah flint's mama didn't raise a fool...stick it to em flint push him overboard to get your damned hat" Though i know that was just to explain why he wears a beret now in lieu of a ballcap

anyway awesome progress as usual

oh as a sidenote...if the commander is Joseph Gordon-Levitt I'm going to kick your ass...long black hair, i know the commander is a douche but that doesn't mean you've gotta make him look like one

First; Thanks.

Second; There is and never will be a Rex Lewis, or anything near to him, in my world. The reference to the shoulder length black hair was a door I left open for future purposes (if there is a furture part). There is nothing in the ROC movie that I will use. I did use an original ROC personality (Night Adder), but he wasn’t even in the movie and I thought he had some potential.

Third; I know you don’t like Duke, neither do I, that’s why I recreated him. The relationship between Flint and Duke is one of years working side by side. They have mutual respect for each other and trust one another completely. They have been through a lot of shit together so there is the kidding between them that in other circumstances would be disrespectful. In my world Duke is more along the same lines as Flint, maybe not quite the cynical smart ass, but close. Forget about Duke as you used to know him.

Fourth; LoL, I know it was wordy, I apologize for that, it was written a while back and I pretty much just posted it without trimming it down. It really could have been two chapters but I didn’t have the time to spend on it that I should have. I wanted to get it finished and posted. “Haste makes crap.”

the moment you mentioned "two swords" in the description of equipment i knew it wasn't Snake Eyes. Very well done...you spent time on this, it wasn't rushed it wasn't hurried...nice flow...very nice flow. This is the shit i'm talking about, great tempo the rising action the climax all in perfect order. Night adder makes a cameo, it's all very well done.

OK...so blah blah blah "AWESOME" blah blah blah "AWESOME AWESOME" blah blah blah (insert random phrase of praise here) blah blah and blah

i've stayed quiet...mainly because i was tired of reading one entry and then having to wait awhile for another...so i waited until to day to read everything all over again...not just this thread but the other. Here's what i've learned

Flint is your favorite.

Snake Eyes is only going to make short appearances (writing him is hard...and until your happy ass learns the art of inking comic strips...i imagine that has something to do with it)

and Duke...fuckin duke...making him a major (major dick) was a good move...now it's ok for him to be a REMF so kudos for that...that's the best thing that's happened to him since he got stabbed with a snake spear

I'm looking forward to Scarlett's intro...at least i hope that wasn't it...because that could have just as easily been jinx

That last entry had Black Adder as being even bigger than before...being able to snatch up the baroness under one arm and leap through a window like king kong...or dare i say it...hulk

anyways...i like where this is going...but you knew that...and i like what you've done so far...i like it a lot...keep it up sport, you're doing quite well...well enough in fact that i'm trying to find something to bitch about...my search so far has failed.
