This is a new online journal that I just started this week and it's gaining popularity quickly, even with people who are not fans of the GI Joe/Cobra universe. I thought I would share it with you here also, I hope you enjoy.

I have updated this several times since I first posted this here. If no one here is reading it, though, I won't bother to post update notices here.

i know it was good
but what started sounding like a novel...is beginning to feel like a short story, it feels as though the character has piqued...which is scary because when that happens it's all down hill from there. It's time for this character to get his ass kicked, maybe his brother? yeah his brother should whip him good, showing him that the world is without mercy and blah blah...he's beginning to seem like there's no one better...which would be ok if he'd already proven it...but he hasn't i mean "he just got here" he's not even an actual cobra yet he's a "snakeling" (reference from the cartoon series as the name of the recruits) and yet here he is with the commander getting death threats and promotions? why cause daddy's a siegie? i'm enjoying the creative direction but the character is without challenge and beyond reproach.
that said my favorite part is still when he was augmented and upgraded that was just plain cool...keep it up...but remember the main character needs at least one major ass kicking

"The Ascension...(Part 5)" is up now.
And fear not, Nictus...there's a lot planned for him. I think you'll be happy with it once the training aspect kicks in, and you begin to see more of the internal conflict of the character. And yes, there will be plenty of trial and tribulation for him. He hasn't even begun to pique as a character yet...we're still in the "getting to know you" phase. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'll try not to let you down...as I also don't want to be let down by the story, oddly enough, even though I'm the one writing it. I'm actually writing each "part" as segmented chapters. We still haven't covered the "History of Cobra", or any of his missions that he was assigned to, or even what his current status within Cobra is...if he's even a part of Cobra! (Just kidding, I could never bring myself to write him as a Joe, or even make him a spy on the Joe team, as that's been done to death. I have much more interesting and creative aspects for him.) Right now, consider yourself locked in "flashback mode", and you'll be there for a while, because in order to understand where someone is going, you should understand where they've been. Thanks for the feedback!
