Sigma 6 Red Ninja Viper

Had an extra original Snake Eyes collecting dust so I decided to make him into a Red Ninja Viper and also help bolster the anemic Cobra S6 forces.

Before I put on the final coat of matte varnish, I was thinking about dry brushing some black on the red to give him a more "weathered" look.

Good idea or no?

Yes.

I actually liked the finish you had on the body in the first pic (above the reference pic). I thought that was drybrushed...it looked weathered and very cool in the pic.

It was too much of some red on black instead of some black on red which I'm looking for.

Update!

Getting close to finishing this work in progress. I painted an extra red sash and split sword and sword holster from Adventure Team Storm Shadow, added an extra red sword harness from Storm Shadow, and gave him all of Ninja Flame Kamakura's weapons.
