Hey guys. This week I had some time to make cards for a 25th 2002 Crimson Strike Team. I did not make the custom figures, just the cards. The figures are repaints of the originals, with some added detail. They all sport silver logos from cobrastickers.com (nice product by the way!)

The cardbacks are all uniform, with the only difference being the filecard. I felt that they should be the same, since they are from the same Convention set. I used the artwork from the Convention poster and modified it a bit. Anyway, here are the pics... Sam

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun making them

how did you do the foil part of the cards?

Its chrome paper layered under photo paper. You have to cut out the text and trim on the top artwork layer, then glue the chrome paper under it. Basically the same as making any other custom card, just with the added step. Its defintely work intensive (especially if you mess up and have to start over!) but the end result is pretty nice!

Those are full of badassery. I don't know if that's a word, but your customs should be full of it.

Hasbro should take heed, and make these! lol

Wow! Fantastic work!! My favorite con set....but it was my first, so I am partial. Its a shame you can't do one from every set. Operation Anaconda may be the next easiest to do if not for Major Storm, the Swamp Viper and the Black Dragon Trooper.

Very nice work. I opened hisstank and my eyes always go to the middle to see if their is some new news. I looked at the picture before the headline and saw the twins on card and thought, "Sweet"

You fooled me with them. Very nice job, I really would love to be able to do this with some of my customs.

Thanks again guys. I want to do "how tos" for how I do both my vintage and 25th cards like I promised before ( but now Im worried about it since Hasbro is being lame about making custom cards) Ive tried to lace my posts with hints on how I make these cards. Hardest part is learning photoshop...the physical proccess is much less time consuming...however, it is VERY, VERY tedious. Anyway, I will continue to give hints as I post my cards.

I want to see more custom card makers. Its actually ALOT of fun and very rewarding. Its addicting too! Sam

Yeah, it could be done. You would just have to piece together the red and blue chome paper underneath the top layer that holds the artwork. I never thought of doing that, I bet it would look great!
