Msn updated with the last three episodes titles and dates. Last episode is July 23rd. Man I'm gonna have major withdrawal after that last episode. Really excited about episode 24" going underground " only because awhile back when I was e mailing back and forth with Clem he stated his favorite design was in episode 24. Been wondering since.

Hmm, a two-week break between Cousins and Underground? Grrr..
Anyway, I'm somewhat looking forward to Anomaly, I'm really curious about Cutting Edge (I mean, getting right in and confronting CC himself! Wow), and I'm very excited about Cousins (for HD and ESPECIALLY for the return of Bludd. Yay!). Going Underground conjures ideas like the Pit, the formation of GI Joe, teams and factions consolidating and solidifying, etc..

Could be. I hope Flint's team and the Renegades join forces soon!

I would love to know what the overall ratings were for Renegades and how it compares to other shows of the same type. I know at least one household who watches it whenever it's on.......

It better come back. I will lead Operation: Plastic Crack on Pawtucket, RI (or wherever Hasbro is now) if they don't.

I did one.... then I met a guy who knows hasbro people that told him their hands are tied because of paramount movie studios have a Joe license non-compete clause in their contract. so it is the movie studio that is the hold on this line.

But they did not do this clause for TF? What a joke, hasbro....

I's say cancel the movie sequel while things are still in their initial stages. Seriously, a director who's only fame is Step Up movies and Justin Beiber? Hardly any returning characters from the first movie... Just kill it now. The cartoon should be their big focus and money maker.
The fact that they cannot have the cartoon going at the same time as the movie sequel is just plain up BS.
My nerd patience will grow into nerd anxiety having to wait til the end of July to watch these. I'm really digging the show so far.

Yeah, I hear ya.
I'm hoping the last episodes really crank it up and they end on a kick-ass, strong note. But, this will make the series "ending" even more of a bummer though.

I too hope the DVD comes out soon, and I also don't know why the cartoon and movie continuities cannot exist at the same time.

I hope the DVD is chock full of special features, maybe some commentary from the creators about the storyline and their thought process, maybe also something that pays homage to Clem and shows off a lot of his concept art.
If only they could do a mini-series or something, based on the Renegades storyline, sometime between July and the movie release. Just 4 or 5 episodes, showcasing the enlarged Joe Team thwarting some Cobra plot.
Also, I'm rather disappointed we haven't seen more Renegades marathons aired during these three-week breaks. I noticed there is a massive friggin' Batman marathon on the Hub right now. Good Lord...

BTW, was it ever clarified whether it was most of the characters from the first movie that were not returning, or most of the actors? I hadn't been keeping up with all the latest movie news, but it seemed that some people would say "hardly any of the characters are returning" while others would say "only one or two actors are returning". Me confused.
I would be perfectly okay with most of the actors not returning. I wouldn't be so happy if most of the characters don't return.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^
The sequel will be worse than ROC. They should have given it to Michael Bay to destroy or Stephen Summers...wait he destroyed the last one...why not give him another go?

Wasn't it mentioned at Joecon, that the show was going on hiatus because of the movie and later on the 'toon would come back to continue the movie storyline (if it is well received by fans)? They already said the show got good ratings but the show had to go on hiatus to avoid two conflicting story lines. Just like with EMH, they halted the season for the Thor movie so people would not get confused as it is very Asgardian in nature.

I never realized how much I'd miss G.I. Joe Renegades till now, now that it's off the air. Funny, I didn't like the show when it started (too some degree I don't think I'm quite there yet), but I am eager to see it return to TV.
It's wishful thinking to hope we'll see less of Snake-eyes using his swords as keys, shields and whatever else for the rest of this season, but I hope they start cutting back on his current use of the swords in season 2 (it isn't cool--at all). I have several other nitpicks, but I'll leave it at that.
Here's hoping the last few episodes are enjoyable:D

One of the things that sucks most, for me, about the whole hiatus thing and the end of the season, is that Renegades is what brought me to the 'Tank in the first place, as an actual member and poster. Sure, the 25th and ME line got me back into Joe toys, but the toon really excited my imagination and curiosity in such a way that I just had to get on these forums and get in on all the speculating, criticizing, praising, questioning, etc. I’ve posted what, 875 posts? I bet 80% of them, at least, have to do directly or indirectly with Renegades. So the end of Renegades might end up leaving a big gaping hole in my Joe-related online life. :)
At the very least, for me, the show will have gotten me thinking about and discussing GI Joe in a way that I haven’t since probably 1992. So I guess it did its job, on me at least.

The show is finally starting to build up. I am surprised they didn't film season 2 as they started airing this series last year, you would think they would already be producing season 2.
The good news is regardless of whether this show comes back, there will be another joe cartoon. It's just too bad Hasbro keeps rebooting the joe franchise. It seems like it will never build adequate momentum that way.

Yeah it really is a shame that its coming to an end right when it's really picking up the most steam.
I'm gonna miss this show like crazy. Sigh...

As I have said in many threads here Hasbro needs to pick and lane and stay in it! Rebooting the brand all the time gives it no room to grow and how can you predict exactly how well it will do unless you give it time!?! The Movie is a guaranteed steamer but will still turn a profit and that's all that matters lets be real. We all just have to hope that after the movie and hopefully reading all the negative posts it will receive from the true fans that they will go back and pick up Renegades where they left it at the end of this season... One can hope right!?! Renegades is so exciting and got me really jazzed up about the brand again only to get the rug yanked out from under my feet! PHEW! I call it now no Renegades toys at retail and say hello to 2 7-packs in a year or so... Hope I am wrong.

Yeah that's how I feel. What a f@%king shame if they ditch everything they've built up in Renegades and try to "start over", with the movie or next toon or whatever. If the movie doesn't draw elements, major elements, form Renegades, and the next toon doesn't basically pick up from where Renegades leaves off, then it will be a damn damn damn shame.

Well it goes in hiatus after season one. Anyone who knows of how past hiatus's go knows that pretty much seems good bye! I don't think we will see anymore renegades type program in the future. Hopefully we get a new animated show after the movie and hopefully it's written half as good. I also hope they stay inspired by clems designs. Time will tell.

WOW! Only a couple of episodes left till the "end". Almost a year has gone by since Renegades teaser clip was shown at last year's Comic Con. I had a lot of expectation of a new Joe cartoon. At first I turned off by the Bio -Viper but as the stories went on, I liked the take as new and familiar faces were introduced. Oh what could have been... It will a sad day when the show concludes and I hope it goes out with a bang.

sad news, it took a couple episodes for me to get into it, the redesign of Baroness hit me hard, but really is a good show, even my wife got into it a few times, and she HATES watching cartoons.

Damn--I don't know why I'm just noticing this now, but the two Revelations episodes are going to air on separate days? I was expecting a two-parter like Descent or Homecoming, basically an hour long finale. Hmmf.
I thought I had checked out the schedule when this thread was first posted, but maybe not. Strange. Also, a two week break between eps. 23 and 24? Boo.
I thought that maybe one reason they were extending the season so much was to have the finale coincide more closely with the first Renegades figure releases, but now it appears there may not even be any Ren figures among the first Fall wave. And I was really banking on getting those figures come August.
All in all, I'm generally confused by GI Joe right now. The brand, toys, toon(s), movie. Maybe it's just me...
