Does anybody who has gone to a jocon know if the figures they use in the parachute drop go to the people who catch them on ground level?

They did at the New Orleans con & the Indy con ( I think) but that was 33/4" guys. Last year, they dropped S-6 figures inside & had the landing area ropped off. If a figure drifted over to you, you could keep it but only a few did. After they had landed, guys with bags picked them all up & they were then sold in the GIJCC store. My son went to that con with me & was REALLY disapointed with the figure drop. I have pics of him &the pic explains his mood. Hope this year we are back to the 33/4" flyers.

I have always thought that if you caught one they could not take it back. I think this was the case last year as I saw people from the balconies snare the S6 ninjas on the way down. If you are a registered attendee this year and purchased a 3-3/4" set, you will not get a para fig like the past (well except ATL and Orlando of course). The SkyBATs will be available in the store.....or you should be able to catch one for free.

The San Francisco con was the best for me! After the drop there were about 10 figures trapped on the outer ledges of the hotel room balconies. They were not taken by the guests because nobody was in those particular rooms at the time so I asked the hotel manager if I could get her to open those individual rooms and she could grab the Air-vipers for me. She told me that she would but only if there was nobody in the room. I ended up with about 8 Air Vipers and after that I bought her lunch. Pretty sweet deal and I really didn't have to do anything but ask.

Well To Answer Your Question The Best I Can Is: Any Or All Of The Figures Used In The Drop Are For Anyone Who Wants To Keep Them If They Catch It. They Always Let The Kids Take The First Shot. None And I Mean None Of The Figures Are Picked Up And Sold At Mastercollector (they Always Have A New Batch To Sell) Cause There Really Aren't Any To Pick Up And Resell Left Over.
Last Year I Did The Drop In The Hotel And The Bad Part About That Was The Hotel Was Under Constuction. So When We Did The Drop And A Lot Of The S6 Ninjas Went In To The Area Cut Off From The Pupil So Some Of The Workers Keep The Figures And Others Threw Them Back. Any Other Ones Were Gotten By The Managers And Given To The Kids Or Anyone Who Begged For Them....
Well To Cut It Short (lol) Anything That Comes Down Is Fair Game ;) Good Luck....
