If anyone sees any of the new 25th Anniversary Joes out in Ohio, post your sightings! Went to Kmart (Spfld, Ohio) last night and found a couple of hidden Joes! Cobra Officer and Cobra Commander variant!

Target, Walmart, are cleaned out. Anyone know if Meijer will be carrying any of the 25th Joes?

Kmart (Beavercreek) - nothing, only 1 peg tagged 25th.
TRU (Dayton Mall) - 3 mixed 5-packs. 1 peg for singles, empty.
TRU (Fairfield Mall) - Same as above TRU.
Meijer (Kettering) - nada, no pegs reserved either

I'll keep updating as I do my rounds. So far target has been my best luck. I got my first Snake-eyes and Stormshadow there, and later snagged CC and Cobra Soldier. Usually everywhere is wiped clean of singles though. A worker at target said that the 25th has been very popular and that they get a truck stock 5 days a week. So new inventory can get pegged any day of the week.


I've never hunted anything before but these joes were so damn awesome I just had to try to start :)

I've only seen what I've purchased so far (SS, SE, CC, & CS). So I'm real far behind lol. I'm gonna try to make a road trip for that Kroger down your way to get cought up. Thanks for the tip!

I live in Columbus Ohio and I have found all the JOES so far. A couple quick things to know Clutch.

Target Stocks on Monday mornings. You can take the tag to the nearest employee and they can tell you whether its in stock or not.

Walmart stocks on Mondays in the evenings (between 8-10). They also get shipments on Mon, Wed, and Fri. Walmart can be great with telling you whats in tock or when it will be, just ask.

These things can vary store to store. Just ask one of the employees, they are usually nice enough to help.

I finally found Wave 3 at Target in Fairfield, Ohio!

I got the chance to hit some stores tonight. I managed to add 2 more to my small but slowly growing collection :)

TRU (Dayton Mall) - 2 Joe 5pk and 1 Cobra 5pka. CC, SS, CS and Serpentor. I snagged Serpentor and Cobra Soldier.

I've don't get the chance to check often and it's usually late in the evening after everything had been sitting on the racks all day. Tonight is the first time I've seen Serpentor and the 2nd time I've seen Cobra Soldier, which I purchased both. I've not seen anything else from wave 2, never seen wave 3, and have not seen a Cobra Legion pack yet. Also still have yet to find Flint and Cobra Officer. I'm hoping to make more wider rounds this weekend to visit the area's mentioned in northern Cinci :)

I have a little story to tell.

My morning started off real bad when I woke up late and had to drive the kids to school because they missed their bus. Since I was out of the house earlier than normal, I decided to stop by that Kmart that closed 2 minutes early on me the night before. I hardly every see anything at Kmart, and they are always behind on everything. But to my complete and total suprise, I saw a peg full of single carded 25th! First one on the peg, Zartan! Next was Stalker, then Red Ninja, Shipwreck, and Firefly! I was stunned to see the entire wave 3 right there for my purchasing pleasure, yet there was still a few more. I parted past the oh so common Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow only to have my jaw drop to be staring at the last one on the peg - Cobra Officer.

So now in one completely random stop at a time I would normally be racing to get ready for work, I instead doubled my current collection by obtaining all of wave 3 and a missing item from wave 1. I now only have 4 more singles to hunt down. I was so excited it didn't bother me that I was 5 minutes late to work because they had to hunt do the cashier to check out the guy with the 10 inch grin on his face :D

Only bad news is, they only had one of each so there are none left for anyone else. Just a SS and SE.

Just finished a full circle of the southern Dayton area today. here's the list of what's out there:

I hit my local Kroger last night and saw 3 cases of wave 3! The bad part was that they were $6.99 each, but they had 3 yellow Stalkers so I didn't complain much.

I used to, and will again, live in Cincinnati - West Chester area to be exact. I think that all of us I-75 corridor fans should start some kind of group to scour the stores and hook each other up. It is less expensive than the Cincy guys going to Dayton and vice-versa.

The Yorkcommons Wal-Mart (N. Dixie Dr in Dayton, OH) had single packs. This is the second time I've seen these at that Wal-Mart. Here's the break down.

Stalker There were 3 of these
Firefly Only one of these (well was one :))
Cobra Officer This I couldn't believe there were about 10 or 12. I'm kinda piss because I just bought from ebay last week. I got another one
Snake Eyes There were 2 or 3
Storm Shadow Same as Snake Eyes

I got off work way early today and decided to head south to the west chester area to check out the stores curarus has been posting about. After that, I hit the dayton mall area and sugercreek area on my way home. all I can say is, wave 3 is easily available now. Here's the recap of the stores I hit:

Target (middletown) - SS, SE, CO, Zartan, and maybe firefly
Kroger (West Chester) - SE, SS, Zartan, and some other wave 3 (minus stalker and red ninja)
Target (West Chester) - SE, SS, and wave 3 (minus stalker)
TRU (Dayton Mall) - no singles, and the 1 peg they had for 25th's has been changed over to a joe 3pk comic release (not 25th). They do however have tons of Joe and Cobra 5pks.
Walmart (Dayton Mall) - SE, SS, All of wave 3 except Zartan. Tons of Stalkers (all green)
Target (Dayton Mall) - Everything Wave 3 except Zartan
Walmart (Sugercreek) - SE, SS, CO, all wave 3 except Zartan
Target (Sugercreek) - Same as above.
Kmart (Beavercreek) - nothing

Stalker is the the most common wave 3 figure I found in the Dayton area. All of them were green (no yellow's). All the Shipwrecks I found had Shark Tatooes except one (which I snatched :D ).

Hitting the stores was so weird today, because I hit Target in Sugercreek Monday morning, right after open and they had 5 employees stocking the toy department. There were boxes everywhere but no 25th singles. I asked one about the singles, he had to run to the back room to verify but came back saying they have none on this truck. I didn't return again till thursday night and kicked myself to find a SE and SS on the shilf, which means they had stocked since Monday. But then today, everywhere I went (except Kmart) had wave 3. I was getting used to empty pegs, but I'm glad to see the change :)

I've not had any luck lately, but I have heard a lot of this phrase "We don't have it" Of course this said without looking in the backroom or checking the computer system. This has happened to me a TRU at the Dayton Mall and Beavercreek (There's another collector there buying them before they hit the shelf), Wal-Marts in Huber Heights, Miller Lane, Troy all of them, Target...well they haven't had any from day one, K-Mart....they've been going down hill for years.

I found them a couple of weeks ago at the Wal-Mart on Morse Road... They had nearly two complete sets, but one of the Cobra Air Troopers was on a mangled card (no problem though, as he is now in my open collection); the figure I only found one of was Stormshadow. The extra Roadblock and Cobra Commander figures were there for a few days before disappearing (along with all of the single carded figures that they had).

Went to the Health/Newark area and found Wave 4 figures at the Meijer on 21st Street... They had all but Duke and Gung-Ho... And the bad part was that I couldn't bring myself to buying any of them, even the Jet Pack Trooper... I was trying to be good, since I was supposed to be getting Christmas gifts for my family, not myself.

PS - If you live in the area, I suggest you hit the store ASAP, as the Wave 4 seem fairly hard to find (fortunately, I already have a set MOC, so passing them by didn't sting quite as bad).

I was at the Dayton Mall TRU on the 24th and they just re-stocked their 25th pegs with the re-release of wave 2. Everything else I've been looking at is dry. Just wanted to share if anyone is still missing something for their collection.

Comic 2 Packs Wave 1 at Target in Toledo! (Airport Road) Run, don't walk. They are going fast.

I scored on comic packs tonight. The Target at dayton mall seemed to put them out early. They had 4 there, all wave 1. I bought 3 completing my collection. There is 1 left, which is Hawk & Scarlet. They also had 2 pegs of wave2/3 singles.

I checked TRU, their joes are wiped out. On my way home I checked the Target in sugercreek. They put wave 2/3 singles on the pegs Friday morning, about half of them are left now. They have not released their comic packs that I know of, will probbaly be put out tomorrow morning. They have losts of Legion packs at the clearance price of $17.xx.

I skipped all the walmarts, hate that place lol.

Got up too early this mornign and hit the sugercreek target to see what they did for the reset. Bad news, looks like joes got no lovin :(

There was a full peg of singles last night, this morning there was 1 shipwreck left. I had someone check and he said that is the only one they have in the store (he really didn't seem to care and ignored my question about the comic packs). I asked another employee about a movie and he said they got truck yesterday but not today, so my guess is the comic packs were put out on Saturday and all sold, just like the other target at dayton mall.

On the way home, I checked kmart LOL. that was a waste of gas.

Target @ sugercreek - some singles of the wave 2/3 refresh. All those Legion 5pks they had on clearence (which was $12 or 17$?) are gone (or I can't locate them lol).

I had trouble locating the legions packs at my target after they went on clearance.I found them on a end cap in the back by sporting goods.Obviously it's not the same in every target but they probably have just been moved some place odd.

They had the charts up at Morian Wal*mart tonight and they had 4 pegs up for Joe singles, so I'm guessing it should be soon when we start seeing the newer waves. They had a couple wave 1 comic packs but that was it.

Target Stores in Columbus, Ohio finally got some new figures, and yes, I FINALLY got Wave 5!!!!!! I have been searching high and low ever since hearing that they had started hitting on the West Coast before Christmas.

I've had pretty good luck finding everything up here in Troy. Just picked up Wave 2 Comic packs last week.

The only word of caution to give those who DON'T live up around here, there are a couple of us here so when things hit, they are GONE ASAP.

We call each other when we find stuff. One guy works in Sidney and lives in Troy. He stops at Walmart in Sidney, Piqua, and Troy...DAILY.

If you are looking for particular figures, let one of us know.

Wave 5 SCORE!

I checked Target@HuberHeights today at lunch. Last time I was here was Friday evening. They still had a bunch of Wave 1 comic packs (no wave 2 though) and plenty of the wave 3 refresh. But to my suprise they also had a case of Wave 5 out in the front pegs. I picked up what I needed. I left 2 CG, 1 Destro, and 1 SJ.

When I checked out, the singles did not come up in inventory. The cashier had to ask me the price and sold them to me as generic merchandise. This leads me to beleive that this target got them out prematurely maybe? Either way, wave 5 is hitting targets if it hasn't already. Stay sharp on your hunt and you should be able to scroe.

Hey guys. I am currently living in Portsmouth (about 2 hours east of Cincinnati and 1.5 hours south of Columbus on the Ohio River). I normally live in Cincinnati, but am down here building the hospital expansion with my company. Anyway, this place sucks when it comes to anything, especially Joes.

Last night, my wife and I went out on a little expedition. We went down the river and crossed over to the Kentucky side and checked out the Wal-Mart in Ashland, KY. Nothing. Then, we jumped back over to the Ohio side and continued due East to South Point, OH. Nothing. Onward we pressed, and back over the river, this time into Huntington, WV. I hit the first Target I saw. Remnants of the revision wave 3 stuff, but not what I needed. Onward to the Toys-R-Us at the Huntington Mall. Nothing but leftovers of a single Wave 4 case, not what I wanted. Last stop for the evening was the Wal-Mart which is just across the road from the Toys-R-Us. Empty.

Now this trip, which had lasted about 3 hours at this point, left me exhausted. My wife volunteered to drive home. I slept almost the whole way. When we got back to Portsmouth, she decided that the night would not be complete unless we swung into our Wally World. After pretty much shambling back to the toy section, I was give a glimpse of hope. They were in the process of unloading skids. I inconspicuously nosed around the 2 skids of random toys and there they were - 2 whole cases of Wave 3 comic packs!!!! I promptly picked up one case for myself, and a Twins pack for one friend and the CG/Scarface pack for another. I dropped almost $110 on Joes in one shot, lol. The checkout lady was super cool, and we ended up talking about Joes. Her son is my age and collected them in his youth also.

I just had to share this story with someone, I figured it might as well be you guys. Keep plugging and chugging and eventually they will turn up. YO JOE!!!

Caught a lucky break at a walmart in canton, OH. I looked in the "section" where the joes are kept and they had a couple hanging on the perdominatly empty hooks... I was leaving the toy section and about five isles down there was a rack of GI Joes on the SIDE of an end cap. Very weird place, it was by the girls toys none the less. I picked up v1 storm shadow, destro, cc, duke, roadblock, gung ho. air trooper!

Thank you BigLob on the Discount Drug Mart tip (although I must say, their price on Joes is not much of a discount - $6.99 each). I went to the one in Pickerington, OH and they had all of Wave 4 with the exception of Storm Shadow and Duke. They now only have Gung Ho, Scarlett and Cobra Commander (as I was needing Destro, Roadblock and Air Trooper).

I also found a Flash at the KMart in Lancaster, OH. They only have a Hooded Cobra Commander left now. The Meijer in Lancaster has no stock (and haven't since Christmas). The Wal-Mart in Canal Winchester is empty. The KMart on Hamilton Rd. in Columbus has nothing. The Toys R Us on Hamilton Rd. in Columbus has some Wave 1 Comic Two Packs hidden above the isle, but they appear to be doing their reset and had absolutely nothing out as far as Joe goes.

The guys at Rebelscum have a pretty good network for Ohio guys collecting Star Wars, but they're not very helpful for Joes, so that's why I'm here!

I'm in Stow, pretty close to Akron. I hit up the Wal Marts and Targets in Stow, Streetsboro, Macedonia, Cuyhoga Falls, etc. I've had some luck, but lately I'm coming up empty!!

I am desperately searching for just two more figures so I can call it quits for now....a Wave 1 '08 all black Snake Eyes...I haven't seen it ANYWHERE! I actually managed to find a Crimson Guard at the Streetsboro wal mart a few weeks ago, which shocked me since he's the army builder, but no others from that wave....not a trace! I really want that Snake Eyes!

And the other is the Wave 4 Storm Shadow, the single carded version of the Cobra 5 pack. I never ever saw these and didn't even think they got released in Ohio until last week when I found the remnants of the wave at Wal mart in Stow. A Gung Ho and a Roadblock. Man, this is my current Holy Grail....I just want a Stormy to leave MOC and one to open, and I fear I'll never find the damn thing!! I'm always one step too late!!

If anyone spots these in my area, PLEASE let me know!! I appreciate your help!! Thanks!!

Hey man! I am from Akron... Wallmart is the ticket for finding wave 4, the wallmart by where I go to school got 3-4 cases of wave 4 in last week, I picked up a storm shadow then. I told my good friend about it and he went the next day and the other storm shadows were gone. You gotta be there within the day they put them out or your chances are pretty slim. Good luck!

I scored ONE single carded Storm Shadow at a Target today!! It was all they had...I didn't mind paying the 5.99 as opposed to wal mart's 4.88....I just wanted the damn thing! They still had a few other wave 4s if anyone needs them....the Stow Kent Target on 59!

After much searching, at long last, I have the Wave 3 comic packs! These were my holy grail, and now that I have finally found them, I am a happy camper! The store? Target, in Grove City of all places. I looked high and low in Columbus, with a multitude of Wal-Marts that had bare pegs for these packs, and with so many members here and on Joe Sightings finding them there, I never thought that I would find them at a Target first! Oh well, I guess it just goes to show that you can't take any store for granted. Now I just need to find them again, so I can get another Twins pack, as the one I have has figures that are not painted as well as I would have liked... but I'm still happy!

I did find wave 5 in Ohio, more specific Northeast Ohio... I have 2 Flash, 1 Destro IG, 2 Snow Job, 1 SE, and 2 CG. They were difficult to find, but I managed to find them at local Wal*marts and Kmarts.

Just an updated after a bit of hunting today. Went to Wal-Mart in Washington Courthouse, OH and they had a case of Wave 4 on the pegs. I bought Storm Shadow, but the other seven and one random Cobra Trooper are still there. At the Canal Winchester Wal-Mart they have a few Wave 4 figs (I believe Roadblock, Duke and Cobra Commander, but don't quote me on that). That is all.

Yeah I saw a SINGLE crimson guard at a local Kmart today and it had a huge price tag stuck right on top of the "gi joe" logo and it was $6.49, so I passed on it. Since Kmart is getting wave 5, hopefully walmart will be getting them as well so I can scoop them all up for 4.88!

Wave 2 ('08, or Wave 6 if you prefer) may have hit in the Columbus area, as I found a Wal-Mart to have a bunch of Crimson Guards (okay, it was 4, but that seemed like a lot to me today!), an IG Destro, 2 black Snake-Eyes, Serpentor, Shipwreck and Beach-Head... All of which I have read are fillers for Wave 2. Anyway, if it was, indeed, Wave 2, I missed the boat...

Wave 6 has hit Northeast Ohio, they've done a much better job with this wave. They had only a case at a Walmart, so keep your eyes peeled. But if those your listed above are the filler, then they may have had another case, but someone was nice enough to leave a set. I took CC, Torpedo, and R&R, left the Snake Eyes (have enough of those).

I also caught the Twins and Ace/WW comic packs at TRU, no luck with the Crimson Guard pack yet, obviously my most wanted would be the one I can't find. TRU had full pegs of comic packs though, so it's not unlikely they had more Wave 3 in the back waiting to restock.

I don't know if I'd call it "good", but there is a Wal-Mart at Easton... It usually is very slow at getting the new stuff out (but it does eventually get there)...

I havent posted much, but Im still hunting. I just got back from a big toy run and between WM, TRUs, and Target, all the comic packs and currently released singles are out in force. I picked up a CG and the Armored CC. Also TRUs has the tags and shelf space for all their exclusives, but dont have them in yet.

I scored big time today at a local walmart... ALL of wave 6 including rocknroll, armored cc, torpedo, and a cg! They only had ONE of each figure and I was lucky enough to get to them first, and at old walmart price of $4.88 (they havn't switched to 5.44 like other walmarts have.) BUT... I was in a car accident on the way out of walmart! Someone blew a red light and hit my truck in the front drivers side. No one was hurt and he admited fault. Just a big headache going to have to get it fixed, but at least I have wave 6 to make me feel a little better about the day!

ok...so yesterday I bought 2 ig destros and 2 crimson guards at the macedonia target but there was 1 left of each and at least 2 copies of every figure in this wave sans snake eyes(still looking for him). I stop back today less than 24 hours later and everything is gone except 1 cobra soldier and 1 air trooper. How does this happen? Are these figs this popular?

I live near St. Clairsville, Ohio, just west of the Ohio River. I found the latest wave of comic two packs(wave 3). They also had the armored Cobra Commander and Rock-n-Roll. The Toys R Us, and K Mart next door had next to nothing. Making a run to the North part of Ohio tommorow. I will let you know if anything good pops up. By the way, does anyone know when we should start stalking the Target stores for the exclusive vehicles. There is a Target 20 minutes from me in Wheeling West Virginia, but with the price of gasoline, I cant afford that many trips. If anyone had a rough idea of a release date I would welcome the info

I hit streets today at noon looking for wave 6 and a twins comic pack. I checked the sugercreek target & walmart, then the Dayton mall target and walmart. I picked up 1 of what I needed, left the other 2.

Stopped at a kmart today in garfield hts. and found a duke and a zartan on the rack. Took them both as I didn't have either one yet. Noticed that they also had the 5 figure box sets. one with 5 joes, one with blue cobra commander and one with black cobra commander. Are these worth getting? The one with the blue commander had the baroness in it ,destro and a different looking storm shadow.

I just wanna say I think walmart is lame. I went to a brand new super walmart today that opened on monday. I thought to myself I could probably score some great wave six figs. They didn't stock any!! No, I didn't say they were out. They had no rack for them at all. I scoured the entire toy dept. Nothing! How does this happen. Everywhere I go joes seem to be scarce. The Target Exclusive Vehicles have hit! I called and used the DCPI number and was told that the store on Sawmill Road had them (only one in Columbus according to the clerk I spoke with, who was at another store). I then went to the store, but found nothing on the shelves, so asked a guy working in the department, who then checked on his hand held product ID scanner, but said the number didn't come up, even after he checked it twice. So I then checked on one of the store barcode scanners, and sure enough, it showed the items were in stock. The guy then called the back room to see if they were back there and was told that they were... He promptly went and got me one of each! With my $5 off coupon, I got the three for just under $27 (tax included).

With the exception of Snow Job, those figures can only be found on the secondary market; i.e.; ebay or some online stores. Occasionally, a member may have them for sale or trade as well, but you will need to watch the trade section to see if anyone has them... I hope this helps...

Yea wave 1 snake eyes ,flint and storm shadow you can forget about finding in a store. I would recommend this site. I live in northfield and have been able to put 2 current sets together(one for me and one for my brother) and I never bought off ebay. As for the snow job I saw one yesterday at the macedonia target. Saw the cobra night watch 5pack tonight at TRU by Dayton mall. I passed on it, so it should still be there in the morning. They were only open for 15 more min when I stoped in. That's the first time I've seen a 5 pack on the shelf honestly.

Also, for the target vehicles, every target I stop at shows them being in the stockroom. If you want yours, ask for someone to go to the back room and bring a case up for you.

Dayton Mall Target had a Torpedo(Picked it up) and they still had a Rock N Roll, couple Snow Jobs and SieGees(Crimson Guards). The Huber Heights Target also had a Rock N Roll. Still Nothing at any Walmarts or Dayton Mall Toys R Us.

Its a group of collectors, just over 50 members at this time, who help each other hunt stuff down, trade, buy/sell, and help each other find more enjoyment out of our collections and collecting habits.

We are a very open and fun group.. you should come check us out, cmderinchief... we have a local meeting every month.. it would be a great opportunity to meet some of the other fella's in your area. This month we are meeting at BotCon... May we are meeting in the Cleveland area on May 31st (last saturday of the month).

Collector networks are the next best thing to defeating the evil scalpers in your area. Often you find out that it isn't a scalper at all, it is just another collector you have not networked with. I'm not telling you to leave the warm comfines of The Tank, but just add Johio.org to your daily forum(s) check. The Target at the Dayton mall had 2 Hiss Tanks, 4 Strikers and 4 Spectres as of 45 minutes ago...They also have 1 snow Job in the back...I was able to grab the final wave of figs while I was there, but they only had 1 of each...Middletown and Sugar Creek Targets are played...I don't even think SC has put theirs out yet...They said they will be doing a reset soon...

I found them over three weeks ago in Parma and Fairlawn. A week later Parma restocked on them. The Parma, Fairlawn, and Cuyahoga Falls Toys R Us get there truck in on Tuesdays. So that is the best day to look.

The Target in Grove City had the entire assortment of vehicles this last weekend. Lots of AWE Strikers and Night Specters but, the were almost out of the HISS'es. Also the Wall-Mart out on Georgesville Road in Columbus had gotten restocked with the wave two revision Saturday probably about three or four cases worth.

Edit: Regarding those TRU packs. I've hit the Dublin, Canal Winchester, and Parkersburg WV stores and only found dust. My brother saw a Night Watch set somewhere on the eastside of Columbus during his rounds but, didn't remember where.
