I found a Crossbones from the Captain America line and this was the first thing I thought of. The skin tone is almost perfect for the special drill instructor for GI Joe.

When I saw pics online for Crossbones, Especially with the tac vest off I thought it would be a good base for Sarge. That and without the vest and a slightlu repainted mask, he could almost pass for Bane.

I actually found my Crossbones at my local Books-a-million. I had a giftcard from my recent birthday so I snagged him up. $9.99 minus a dollar for being a member. I think that wasn't bad since I didn't spend a single penny.

Kmart.com has a bunch of new Captain America, Thor, and Green Lantern figures listed today, including Crossbones here. Went ahead and ordered a bunch. Hopefully, they deliver the goods. I've been fooled before (ROC alpha wave 3).

Same here. Ordered 2 Crossbones figures since I have not found them anywhere. They shipped 2 different versions of Captain America instead. Spent 18 minutes on the phone with a K-Mart rep to (hopefully) resolve this and get what I ordered. She was nice and apologized for the mix-up. I will be pleasantly surprised if this actually gets fixed.

I returned the first order back to the local store today. I have another order coming from K-mart.com, so I'll wait to see how they screwed it up before I fight customer service over the shipping charges. Bunch of damn jackwagons.

You'll have to drill out the BnB Slaughter head to get it to fit. The peg looks like it is probably too large for Joe heads for a straight swap, but I haven't tried it to be sure yet.

I made mine from the target green crossbones. I liked the black vest better on him. Check ebay for a loose one. I bought a few several months ago and they were reasonable. That pack has been out of stores for a while.

I like this. My Sarge is on a Bench Press body, but I would actually like to have Bench Press ...so looks like I am finally cracking open that comic pack. Should be able to make something from that Winter Soldier too...maybe a IDW Blacklight.

I won a Crossbones off of Ebay shortly after seeing this thread.

Just a quick question, will the BNB Slaughter head fit on the Crossbones body without any modifications?

no, you will need to trim or dremel Slaughter's head. I just trimmed it with an exacto til it fit snug on the post. There is a small peg between the BNB heads and their bodies, so I had to use some needlenose pliers to get it out of the Slaughter head. I will try to post my custom with the comic pack body tonight for comparison.

Man I would totally do this if I could find another BnB Sarge. As itis, I did the infamous Bench Press head swap, but I like this one too.
