3. Select your class from the beginner section if you are new, or from the advanced if your eligible from your ranking
BEGINNER CLASS'S
class 1 - heavy weapons - allows you to dish out 2 hurt points to another teams character
class 2 - Soldier - allows you to dish out 1 hurt point toward the other team and 1 heal point for your team
class 3 - Medic - allows you to heal a character from your team with 2 heal points
ADVANCED CLASS'S - see advanced rules to see if you are eligible
class 3+ - Surgeon - the same as a class 3 accept is also allows you to heal a KO'd character back to life within 24 hours of their KO to 4 HP. Characters can only be healed back to life one time per battle
class 4 -Sniper - allows for 1 hurt point against a character. When a character is down to 4 or less HP your shot can KO them.
class 5 - Saboteur - allows for you to dish out a hurt of -3 hurt points towards the other teams characters. Your hurt total increases after each battle if you earn enough KO's and grows to a potential of -6.
4. Basically each team starts off with an equal amount of characters. Each person playing can use there class to hurt or heal characters one time per day. The battle ends when one team has KO'd the others team of characters.
There will me a total of 5 battles, and when one team holds 3 battle victories they can move on to the base of there enemy with the opportunity to win the game. The bases will pose some new challenges, and if you cannot defeat your enemy's base, they get the chance to battle again at one of your 3 battle locations to take that victory.
5. GAME NOTES
On your first post of each battle please post your current time, and at each post your class, team, and your move using your class like so:

2. Tips for the use of Medics -
Medics are absolutely essential to controlling a continent! If you continue healing a soldier on your team that goes unnoticed,you may heal them up as long as you like. You could essentially be losing in terms of KO's,but have a FLINT with 120 Hp! Wow! Imagine if you all worked together!
3. There are more classes on the way,once the council decides which ones to accept,you may change if you wish,with no damage to you or your team,I suggest you choose wisely!
4. Moving from one continent to another is governed by a teams current leader,although the move may be petitioned by a GENERAL on the team,therefore voided. Once a team controls all of the continents,they win the world,and with it,the game.
5. Rules for Sniping Class
Hurts/Heals: 1/0
The sniper only does one damage to an enemy every post......until that enemy is 4 HP or below. You see,when an enemy character reaches 4 HP,you may take a "KILL SHOT" that deals 4 damage.
Snipers go up in their own rank, and may change teams whenver they please.
A sniper may not change classes for the current game in play,but may switch to that class starting next round. Keep in mind though,you may not post a hurt for one point,lowering an enemy to 4 HP and then taking a kill shot,you may still only post once per day. THIS CLASS IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO LIEUTENANTS AND UP REGARDLESS OF PREVIOUS CLASS
6. Rules for LIFE SAVING
The medics (class 3's) get something similar, like a save,where if a player is is dead and a class 3 hasn't used his turn that day,then he/she can save the life of a dead player and bring him back up to 2 HP. The catch is you can only do it once to the same character (so once a character is saved, he's never able to be saved again in that same round). The save has to occur within 12 hours of the KO.
7. RULES FOR SABOTEUR CLASS
The saboteur class is only available to players of the rank of general or brigadier general. With this class you get to start with dealing 3hp hurts per turn. As you go up the three ranks of novice, grenadier, and bombadier you will be able to add 1hp hurt to each turn. Once you reach (SABOTEUR BOMBADIER) you will be able to deal 6hp hurts per turn.The catch is your previous kills do not carry over you must earn the kills once you choose saboteur class in order to raise your rank. You will be able to "GO ROGUE" like with the "SNIPER CLASS" meaning once your team is out you can continue to play as a free agent.

Medics are absolutely essential to controlling a continent! If you continue healing a soldier on your team that goes unnoticed,you may heal them up as long as you like. You could essentially be losing in terms of KO's,but have a FLINT with 120 Hp! Wow! Imagine if you all worked together!
3. There are more classes on the way,once the council decides which ones to accept,you may change if you wish,with no damage to you or your team,I suggest you choose wisely!
4. Moving from one continent to another is governed by a teams current leader,although the move may be petitioned by a GENERAL on the team,therefore voided. Once a team controls all of the continents,they win the world,and with it,the game.
5. Rules for Sniping Class
Hurts/Heals: 1/0
The sniper only does one damage to an enemy every post......until that enemy is 4 HP or below. You see,when an enemy character reaches 4 HP,you may take a "KILL SHOT" that deals 4 damage.
Snipers go up in their own rank, and may change teams whenver they please.
A sniper may not change classes for the current game in play,but may switch to that class starting next round. Keep in mind though,you may not post a hurt for one point,lowering an enemy to 4 HP and then taking a kill shot,you may still only post once per day. THIS CLASS IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO LIEUTENANTS AND UP REGARDLESS OF PREVIOUS CLASS
6. Rules for LIFE SAVING
The medics (class 3's) get something similar, like a save,where if a player is is dead and a class 3 hasn't used his turn that day,then he/she can save the life of a dead player and bring him back up to 2 HP. The catch is you can only do it once to the same character (so once a character is saved, he's never able to be saved again in that same round). The save has to occur within 12 hours of the KO.
7. RULES FOR SABOTEUR CLASS
The saboteur class is only available to players of the rank of general or brigadier general. With this class you get to start with dealing 3hp hurts per turn. As you go up the three ranks of novice, grenadier, and bombadier you will be able to add 1hp hurt to each turn. Once you reach (SABOTEUR BOMBADIER) you will be able to deal 6hp hurts per turn.The catch is your previous kills do not carry over you must earn the kills once you choose saboteur class in order to raise your rank. You will be able to "GO ROGUE" like with the "SNIPER CLASS" meaning once your team is out you can continue to play as a free agent.

Ok here is my idea for the new gi joe game format
There are 2 teams GI Joe and Cobra.
Each team has 3 leaders given a hurt or heal of -4 or +4
Each team has 3 squads with a leader at -3 or +4, a base at 75HP, and a base commander at 16 HP.
Each squad has 14 characters/vehicles/vehicle drivers consisting of
8 characters at 16HP
3 vehicles at 30HP
3 vehicle drivers at 4HP
Game play: Each team starts out by putting a squad into battle against the opponents squad. Each squad battle team must consist of 7 characters/vehicles. The combination is up to the squad leader, but once a vehicle or character is KO'd they are out for the game. (Each vehicle has a driver with it and together they count as 1 of the 7 possible total characters/vehicles)
All of the teams players get to play
There is no rebirthing of characters/vehicles.
The vehicles and vehicle drivers are handled in a way that the vehicle driver cannot be hurt until his vehicle is destroyed. He can only be healed when his vehicle is destoyed or by healing his vehicle, where the heal points are divided evenly towards the vehicle and driver. class 2's heal can only be used toward the vehicle, also if the heal # is odd as would be the case for class 6 advanced 3 heals go towards the vehicle and 2 for the driver
A squad team wins a battle when all of the opponents characters/vehicles are KO'd. The winning team then gets to re replenish themselves to have a full squad team, while the losing team chooses another new squad team to enter the battle. So if a character survives a battle and is at 2 HP, it will get upped to its standard HP of 16 for the next battle. This is also true if a character/vehicle etc is at 50 HP. This does not apply to the bases though(see below)
Each squad team cannot go twice before another squad goes once, unless they continue to win. So all of one teams squads has to go before a squad can take a second turn and so on.
The bases come into play when a team is down to 14 characters/vehicles/base commader, adn base. A Big battle will ensue with the team currently losings 14 characters..etc, and two of the other teams 2 squads consisting of 14 total characters/vehicles etc. This teams base and case commander don't come into play until they are done to 14 left over players/characters/base/base commander. So in theory the current losing team would have a big advantage in this battle having a 75 HP base and 16 HP base commander while the other team hasn't used there base yet. Also in this case the base doesn't get upped back to the standard level of 75 for the next battle, but it stays at what it was to end the battle.
Player layout - each team will have the players names in a column with the total number of kills and heals.
the ranking system is as follows
Private - hurts and less than 10 heals
Specialist - 1 kill or 10 heal points
Corporal - 2 kills or 16 heal points
Sergeant - 2 kills and 20 heal points = class 4 = weapons upgrade
2nd Lieutenant - 4 kill = Class 5 Sniper
1st Lieutenant - 5 kills = Class 5 Sniper advanced
Captain - 7 kills = class 6 Saboteur
Major - 8 kills = class 6 saboteur advanced
2nd colonel - 30 heal points = class 7 Medicine Man
1st colonel - 40 heal points = class 7 Medicine Man advanced
elite 1 - Brigadier General = 9 kills and 50 heal points
elite 2 - Major General = 10 kill sand 60 heal points
elite 3 - Lieutenant General = 12 kills and 70 heal points
elite 4 - **General of Army = 15 kills and 80 heal points
( **can only be one per team, and must be by an active player, if inactive they get demoted to lieutenant General)

BASIC CLASSES
class 1 = heavy weapons = 2 hurt

LEADER AND SQUAD CLASSES
these were given to team leaders and squad leaders for the start of the game, but they like everyone else starts with no kills or heals. These are only available to you if you are or have been a squad leader during the current game.
Team leader = -4 of +4
squad leader = -3 of +4,
for each of these you have to choose one for each battle and cannot flip flop in the battle
ADVANCED CLASSES
class 4 = weapons upgrade = -3 hurt
class 5 = Sniper = -1 hurt and can be used as a KO when a character is at 4 HP or less
class 5 advanced = Sniper = -1 hurt can be used on 2 separate characters and can be used as KO shots when a character is at 4 HP or less
class 6 = Medicine man = 4 heal points
class 6 advanced = Medicine man = 5 heal points
class 7 = Saboteur = 4 hurt points
class 7 advanced = Saboteur advanced = 5 hurt points
ELITE GENERAL RANKS/CLASSES
elite 1 = 4 hurt and 2 heal
elite 2 = 4 hurt and 3 heal
elite 3 = 5 hurt and 4 heal
elite 4 = = 5 hurt and 5 heal
The classes are designed so that there are 2 paths can be followed to achieve upper classes. One consists of lots of hurting, or lots of healing and you will be rewarded with advanced healing or hurting power. The other path, a more difficult timely one consists of lots of healing and hurting using the first path to help you achieve these. The second path is long, but it is rewarding and is often only ventured by the great player
With the first path can work towards being a sabotuer, a medicine man, or a sniper by having amounts of hurts or heals.
And the second you can work towards the sergeant class and elite classes by having hurts and heals.
Some added things
1. players can edit there post till midnight there time if they hurt a player already KO'd during that day
2 Team caps are 36 which includes 3 leaders and 3 squad leaders, after the cap fills players can be added to teams on an every other basis.

Here is how we add the characters for each battle
Based on the way the game is set up strategy comes into play in that squad leaders can choose which 7 characters/vehicles they want to include in there battle. Get in touch with your squad leaders and get a team together
But once you get your list let me know, and i will do the same. Then we can PM each other the squad players a vehicles simultaniusly. Once we receive each others squads the combonation of vehicles/characters they cannot be changed. This will make if fair and so that we cannot change our combonation to match up differently with the others.
Also to be added to my rules link on here as decided on in the war council.
1. if a kill occurs after midnight, you can post (so and so ko'd by so and so) pending......
then as soon as we confirm it early in the morning it will be official.
this way it will stop activity on the character after the pending kill and we won't have what happened before again. everyone will leave that character alone if the kill is pending until it is confirmed
I think this suggestion by golobulous would work.
Maybe we can have it so that health count updates must be made every night at midnight eastern time, and then again in the morning at 9 AM eastern time maybe. That way one leader from each team will be on at these times to verify the counts.
I know personally I am on mostly every night around 12:30 AM...not on so much during the morning, but im sure some joe leader can maybe step up and take claim to being on around 9 am to do a health count update.
Basically I think we just need one leader form each team to verify the count. We have 6 leaders per team so this shouldn't be too hard to get accomplished. NO KILLS WILL BE CONFIRMED UNTIL LEADERS FROM BOTH TEAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO VERIFY THE HP COUNT!
- 24 hour break period needs to be added
- that the winning team of a battle can have another leader step in for the next battle so that all the leaders get a chance to lead
- we discussed making a vehicle class at some point..but we will do that another time
- that if a squad leader leaves for a long period another player can temporarily replace them until they get back and use there leadership bonus class.
-We let those players who are extra accumulate hurts and heals for their rank, but at the end of each day they post we subtract there heals from there team or their hurts from the opponent. Then when the next game begins if they want to play they will have to hurry to be one of the first 36 total players. - The above actaully happened in the second battle as cobra had 40 players, but we allowed it only because, well i really don't know, but the game came down to a 3 to 3 HP and the joes got the win in a very close game.

2nd Game OFFICIAL RULES
There are 2 teams GI Joe and Cobra.
Each team has 3 leaders given a hurt or heal of -4 or +4
Each team has 4 squads with a leader at -3 or +4, a base at 75HP, and a base commander at 16 HP.
Each squad has 16 characters/vehicles/vehicle drivers consisting of
10 characters
3 vehicles
3 vehicle drivers
Game play: Each team starts out by putting a squad into battle against the opponents squad. Each squad battle team must consist of 8 characters/vehicles. The combination is up to the squad leader, but once a vehicle or character is KO'd they are out for the game. (Each vehicle has a driver with it and together they count as 2 of the 8 possible total characters/vehicles)
All of the teams players get to play
There is no rebirthing of characters/vehicles.
The vehicles and vehicle drivers are handled in a way that the vehicle driver cannot be hurt until his vehicle is destroyed. He can only be healed when his vehicle is destroyed or by healing his vehicle, where the heal points are divided evenly towards the vehicle and driver. Also if the heal # is odd as would be the case for class 6 advanced 3 heals go towards the vehicle and 2 for the driver
A squad team wins a battle when all of the opponents characters/vehicles are KO'd. Another squad from each team gets to go start out the next battle. So if a character survives a battle and is at 2 HP, it will get upped to its standard HP for the next battle. This is also true if a character/vehicle etc is at 50 HP. This does not apply to the bases though(see below)
Each squad team will at least be able to go into battle twice So all of one teams squads has to go before a squad can take a second turn and so on.
Here is how we add the characters for each battle:
Based on the way the game is set up strategy comes into play in that squad leaders can choose which 8 characters/vehicles they want to include in there battle. Get in touch with your squad leaders and get a team together
Once each team tells the other they have there rosters set one representative from each team will simultaneously PM each other the squad players and vehicles. Once we receive each others squads the combination of vehicles/characters they cannot be changed. This will make if fair and so that we cannot change our combination to match up differently with the others.
The bases come into play when a team is down to 14 characters/vehicles/base commader, and base. A Big battle will ensue with the team currently losings 14 characters..etc, and two of the other teams 2 squads consisting of 14 total characters/vehicles etc. This teams base and case commander don't come into play until they are done to 14 left over players/characters/base/base commander. So in theory the current losing team would have a big advantage in this battle having a 75 HP base and 16 HP base commander while the other team hasn't used there base yet. Also in this case the base doesn't get upped back to the standard level of 75 for the next battle, but it stays at what it was to end the battle.
- there is a cap of 45 players per team, if a team goes over the cap the extra players can post to help there ranking, but there points will be subtracted from there team at the end of each day.
- 1. if a kill occurs after midnight, you can post (so and so ko'd by so and so) pending......
then as soon as we confirm it early in the morning it will be official.
this way it will stop activity on the character after the pending kill and we won't have what happened before again. everyone will leave that character alone if the kill is pending until it is confirmed
- a 24 hour to 48 hour break will occur between rounds to take care of war council discussions and in between rounds hurt/heal/ranking updates, squad character adding for next battle, and other important matters
- blowtorch rules! is in charge of keeping hits/hurts/ and heals for the rounds to be used in between rounds for rank updates, these are also a summary of the battle which include starting squads, and KO's of each character, surviving character, Game version and battle #, beginning and ending dates of battles, official ranks, and class explanations and requirements. These are used as Notes that help us keep track of battles and such for future reference, aka the history of the game. All of these above requirements can be brocken up among people.
- that if a team leader/squad leader leaves for a long period another player can temporarily replace them until they get back and use there leadership bonus class.
- We also have a war council thread where after each battle we discuss game issues and make changes to help the game out. This process ussually allws for everyones opinion then a decision is made amongst the 2 game leaders
- because of the war council changes are often made in the numbers o the game such as the game cap, slight format adjustments, character HP, class's and other such unforeseen issues that arise. though the goal is to keep things light and as standard as possible through out the game. Bigger changes such as # of squads can be made in between games in the war council

= 8 kills or 48 hurts, 1 kill = 6 hurts
Brigadier General = Elite 1 = 4 hurt and 2 heal
= 9 kills and 60 heals
Major General = Elite 2 = 4 hurt and 3 heal
= 10 kills and 70 heals
Lieutenant General =Elite 3 = 5 hurt and 4 heal
= 12 kills and 80 heals
General of Army = Elite 4 = 5 hurt and 5 heal
= 15 kills and 90 heal points
With the 4 above "Elite's" there can only be one person per team holding an elite rank. The player must be active as in played in the previous battle, if they were un active, they must become active in a battle before they are eligible to move up if possible. Also if they are un active there spot can be taken over by someone else with the qualifications. Also you will notice that they have to have kills as hurts are not eligible in the elite.

I think this suggestion by golobulous would work.
Maybe we can have it so that health count updates must be made every night at midnight eastern time, and then again in the morning at 9 AM eastern time maybe. That way one leader from each team will be on at these times to verify the counts.
I know personally I am on mostly every night around 12:30 AM...not on so much during the morning, but im sure some joe leader can maybe step up and take claim to being on around 9 am to do a health count update.
Basically I think we just need one leader form each team to verify the count. We have 6 leaders per team so this shouldn't be too hard to get accomplished. NO KILLS WILL BE CONFIRMED UNTIL LEADERS FROM BOTH TEAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO VERIFY THE HP COUNT!
- 24 hour break period needs to be added
- that the winning team of a battle can have another leader step in for the next battle so that all the leaders get a chance to lead
- we discussed making a vehicle class at some point..but we will do that another time
- that if a squad leader leaves for a long period another player can temporarily replace them until they get back and use there leadership bonus class.
-We let those players who are extra accumulate hurts and heals for their rank, but at the end of each day they post we subtract there heals from there team or their hurts from the opponent. ELITE CLASSES
Elite 1 = 4 hurt and 2 heal
= 9 kills and 60 heals
Elite 2 = 4 hurt and 3 heal
= 10 kills and 70 heals
Elite 3 = 5 hurt and 4 heal
= 12 kills and 80 heals
Elite 4 = 5 hurt and 5 heal
= 15 kills and 90 heal points
With the 4 above "Elite's" there can only be one person per team holding an elite rank. The player must be active as in played in the previous battle, if they were un active, they must become active in a battle before they are eligible to move up if possible. Also if they are un active there spot can be taken over by someone else with the qualifications. Also you will notice that they have to have kills as hurts are not eligible in the elite.

Private = <10 hurts or heals
Specialist = 1 kill or >19 heals or hurts
Corporal = class 3a
Sergeant = class 4
2nd Lieutenant = class 5
1st Lieutenant = class 5a
Captain = class 6
Major = class 6a
2nd Colonel = class 7
1st Colonel = class 7a
