I just wanted to post some pics of my sons collection so far. His room is decorated with most of the figures and some of them are put up because i don't have room. Also, posted are some pics of vintage vehicles i have recently got and my son, Odin, is in a few of the pics as well. Hope you enjoy...

Almost, but with all of the troop builders and comics, it connects. Eventually when waves 9 and beyond hit retail, i plan to take the troop builders down to make room for them...

So far we have all the wave singles MOC except for about 4 that he wanted and wasn't able to find at retail again. He's got about 30 figures (no duplicates) on his shelf. I plan on keeping about 10 MOC for myself plus my AFA ones. He can have the rest to open and play with.

One thing I have found out is these 25th figures are not as tough as the ARAH figures. He has already lost hands, heads, ponytails, helmets, ect. All I can remember loosing on the ARAH figures is thumbs and crotch pieces. LOL

Yeah, i thought about buying multiples, not just of troop builders, but of other figures as well for me to keep MOC, but it is expensive enough to just buy what i am buying...

I have heard that the 25th figures are not as strong as the originals. My wife and i have been talking about letting him play with the vintage joes i have first. Then see how he is with them. I might have to save this line for when he is older that we originally thought...

Well, i have 1 of everything, except troop builders. I try to get 10 of the major troop builders and 5 of the more minor ones. So far everything is MOC and i haven't kept anything for me. So when he opens these, that is it. I had thought about getting my own MOC collection to keep that way, but it would be even more expensive and my wife would kill me...lol...

I don't know exactly. My wife and i were thinking somewhere around 5 or 6. But we aren't for sure yet. How soon are you giving yours to your son?...

I think i was around 9 or so when i started playing with them. And the joes we had were a little stronger than these now a days. Are your nephews having any problems with them breaking? That is my concern with having my son play with these so soon. I am afraid he will break alot of pieces when he is playing with them...

Flash has been hard for a few collectors to get. I will keep my eyes open for one for you, but you might have to resort to buying him online or from a fellow tanker. But sometimes the K Marts near me still get older waves in so i will check there...

And you are right. The TRU exclusives are so expensive, but i think the completionist in me took over because the next thing i knew, i was at the register with them spending 50 dollars...lol...

Not really. But at the time, i guess i thought it would be cool to have them. Right now, my TRU has about 5 of each of them just sitting on the shelf. If i played my cards right, i could have waited to see if they will go on clearance later. BTY, i think the 3 packs were worth it. The 5 packs, not so much...

I try to position the thumb tacks so that it doesn't compromise the card at all. I am not really that worried if they make a small mark as these will eventually be opened anyway...MOC troop building takes up a lot of room. I am trying to just get 5 of every troop builder so it isn't that bad. I used to collect 10 of every troop builder and that was just to room consuming...:D
