this funny tidbit from the news is a little old, but i thought i would pass this warning along. whatever you do, if you flying to the con in dallas, to not have a picture of a big ass gun on your t-shirt. you will reget it, as the security teams tear apart your luggage and laugh at your stained transformer under-roos.

that's just sad. I remember the "good bush bad bush" shirt that somebody got kicked off a flight for. Now I can see that one. But a Transformer's shirt? Optimus MF'n Prime? That's going just a little too far. Kind of like the two chicks who got kicked off flights for dressing too sexy. I didn't see anything wrong with what they were wearing. I've seen women in less in the grocery store pushing their kids around. These things are just getting out of hand.

"Clothes policing" now? Truly terrifying... It's gone beyond 'funny' and slipped into 'sinister', and we didn't even notice.

sounds like the rep at the desk made a "bad call" and unfortunately their supervisor backed them up instead of stopping the issue then and there . I understand and support rules about "common decency" and what not... but this issue looks to have gotton out-of-hand, a case of an employee not understanding the 'idea' of the rule, only the letter of it.

It probably wasn't an 'official' decision, but someone in a position of responsibility and trust that requires shrewd & sound judgement decided that a Transformer t-shirt was offensive/dangerous/subversive or inappropriate.
Doesn't sound like the right person for the job to me.
