Well here in San Diego the K-Marts are all Sears now. But no haven't check yet I will this evening on my hunt. The CP wave 4 are hit or miss some palces aren't going to restock until the peg warms are gone. Heck LA gets them before the shipments get to SD so good luck all.

Hey man, just to give you a heads up in case you didn't already know, there are a lot of problems with the QC in the initial wave of Animated. I mean, A LOT more than usual *L*. i went to coleman target yesterday. yea they had 25th stuff in stock. but it was ALL buzzers and 1 masked CC. but i did spot a few comic book packs, and 1 wave 4 copperhead vs. ship wreck. i passed on it tho. ive found dozen's of TFA stuff this past weekend (: lotsa good stuff, at the milpitas target and the coleman target. but at coleman i had to go to guest services/customer service, to pull out some voyagers for me because they didnt have any displayed on an endcap or what not. i am VERY happy on how my TFA collection is going. so far ive gotten all the ones i wanted cept a few that im waiting till ive got some green to spend. Yes, this is disheartening, but I must tell you Saturday Sunday and Usually Monday are all stinkers for finding stuff. Good Days, Wednesday and thursday is best after the 15th and before the 5th of a month and Then Tuesdays and Fridays. Don't ask me why I know this but I almost have it down to a science.

Oh, one last thing in order of best to worst stores on my end, Target, Walmart, TRU, KB, K-mart.

For those in the San Diego county, I just learned a particular Walmart had placed an order of 60 pieces. There was not a lick of the single carded on the pegs. Plus, the retail price is a flat $6.00.

risked the wife thinking I was crazy, told her I was making a late-night Joe run to Wal Mart when she went to bed, and low and behold, found a nice, fresh case of wave 5 08 on the palette. happy with one case, I grabbed it, didn't care if there were anymore, kindly placed Torpedo and Wild Bill on the pegs so the scalpers who line up at 6:00 am every morning can have a little new product, and went on my merry way.

I don't think the drop off will be significant, and the line will still be great, but these figures are absolute perfection grouped together in one wave. will we get figures just as great. sure, Para-Viper comes to mind to rival any in this wave, but to have all 6 new figures be flawless (yes, even SS) is unlikely to happen again.

I haven't gone searching for anything new for almost a month, then last night after work I decided to hit my local walmart, I finally picked up the wave 4 comic packs. This walmart received 2 cases of the comic packs along with 2 cases of the original wave 3 '08 (wave 7). There was no wave 5 '08 ( wave 9), no 12" figures, and no vehicles.

The only thing I am looking for now is the vehicles and wave 5 '08.

I found half of wave 9(Bakooka, Hawk, & BAT) today at the Target on Herndon. I went to the clovis TRU,Wal-Mart, and Target and found very little.

The worst store was the Target in Clovis, they are so understocked on all toys. I couldn't believe that they hardly had any Indiana Jones figures, unlike every other store. What's up with that location? I haven't found anything there ever except the exclusive vehicles.

Yeah, a Target near my home in Mira Mesa had remnants of Wave 9 this morning. They had a Bazooka, Black Ninja and Wild Bill (with new card) and Torpedo remaining. With the figures being 8 dollars a pop, I am now being more pickier than ever on which figures that I get in the 25th Anniversary Gi Joe line from here on out. In fact, I just weeded about 10 carded figures from my 20+ collection because I was ho-hum about keeping them around. Granted, I like Bazooka from the cartoon and I almost bought him because of that, but I was trying to talk myself into buying him because A)he's a new Gi Joe character who's hard to find and B) I just don't really like his design; therefore, I knew I really didn't want him, so I just set him back down for someone else to buy.

With that said, the only figures I want from this line are of course the ones that everyone else wants; I.e. Snow Serpent and BATS. I had both as a kid and I would love to have these two figures again. I also had Hawk as a kid, but he's more of a wait and see how I feel when I am holding him kind of Gi Joe figure. Unfortunately, those three figures were already gone by the time I got to the store at 11:00 am this morning. Yeeeaaahhhhh...I am not waking up @ 8am on my day off to go find new Joes =).

Seriously, with the cost of Gas and the scarcity of the 25th Joes, I am really considering just paying the 15 or so dollars for the figures that I want off of Ebay instead of driving all over town on the off-chance that I will find them. I am too old to keep doing this "hunting" for just toys. I should be hunting women, not toys. LOL!!! =P

Anyways, for those in San Diego, CA. and interested in them: HAVE AT THEM! They might still be there.

After the trouble I caused a few weeks ago on hisstank about the post you put up of finding all those Vipers, I'll just keep my mouth shut and be happy that you found Snow Serpent. Well, there was another guy grabbing Joes at the Burbank Target. Plus, at around 8:30 a local scalper who we call "Hootie" always shows up and buys stuff. I am actually surprised that you found a Hawk still hanging on the pegs. If you can make it at opening, you will get them for sure. The problem is, God knows when they'll restock. I had been going all of this week at opening time after I read that these were starting to show up and they finally hit today. I almost slept in for the holiday, but I'm glad I didn't. And who knows, they might restock tomorrow. I've seen that happen.

I was in Target today asking about why the baron isles? I was told they're redoing it again. I really hate when stores do this sort of crap. By arranging things in a new "dynamic, thinking outside the box, being proactive way" (I hate that shit) ;is not going to entice me to buy it. By having new stock constantly coming through the isle is!!! I swear to Lord in heaven I pre-ordered every last thing I saw on BBTS and I'm thinking unless on a lark I'm never shopping in these shit boxes ever again!! I'm so annoyed. Why does Florida and the mid-west have the best luck with these things? I know some will say because we live in a heavily populated area, and folks get to them faster, but you know what? I tested that hypothesis and for two weeks straight I worked over a target by my house and guess what? Not only did they never get new Joes, but they didn't even get anything else except the shit-tastic trans movie figures and that Ben 10 nonsense. Why the f is up? Please someone tell me?

I figured it out, Hasbro ships out what they got to retailers (new wave) they sell out within hours and then you have to wait 4-6 weeks for the wave to be "easily" available. So fear not my fellow collectors we will find stuff on the shelves, just give it a couple of weeks. Me I preorder, my vehicles are on the way from BBTS. If I see'em in the stores, yeah I'll buy them but, I have the peace of mind that BBTS has my stuff on route as soon as Hasbro hooks'em up.

Nice to know that the Vehicles are hitting the shelves. I just bought one Ram vs. Trouble Bubble 2 pack at the Winchester TRU. That's all they had. No other vehicle sets spotted.

And I gave in and bought the Snake Eyes vs. red Ninjas pack. I kind of got used to that version of Snake Eyes, so.....

Plus one Wendigo from the Marvel Legends Hulk themed line. No other figs from the line was spotted. Are these exclusives, cause they cost about 15 bucks a pop!

Could anybody who lives in Roseville/Sacto tell me if there are any wave 6 warming the pegs? I keep reading in other threads how Rock 'n Roll, Torpedo, and BA CC are pegwarming in other states, and I know I haven't hit all the TRUs, Wal-Marts, and Targets in these areas. Any help would be appreciated. :)

There were wave 4 comic packs at the Target in YC yesterday. I picked up the lone Duke/Red Star, (finally!) but they still had 4 Copperhead/SW, and two Firefly/SS if that helps anyone.

i haven't wave 6 anywhere i seen murph. torpedo is released in the newer packaging and the TRU in rocklin/roseville had a couple instock this morning when i got my vamp and que-ball (barbeque). the only have on goram endcap so i would book out ASAP. yea, actually, over at rebelscum.com, we have a few members of our local group from up in the yuba city area. it's mostly star wars collectors over there (obviously) but there's also a small portion of us that are also into the joes. you should check it out sometime! I saw a few rock n' rolls a couple of weeks ago, but not since then. but i'll keep my eye out. as was mentioned, the torpedo is an extra pack in wave 9, so he shouldn't be too hard to find. i'm guessing if you check the wally worlds out in YC and Marysville, you may have a good shot at finding him. and if you happen to see any extra BATs or Snow Serpents... ;-)

Very cool, thanks for replying. The TRU and WM are packed with old comic packs, so Target is the place to check in YC for new ones. That being said, my first time seeing wave 4 on the pegs was yesterday so it might be a while before I can get my hands on wave 5.

Since these are all being reissued with the white cardback I'm not about to resort to Ebaying these, but it would be nice to have them for retail and see how mint they are, paint apps, etc. before buying if they are warming the pegs in the Sacto area. Awesome! I got all fired up from the warm welcome I received over there. Just got back from WM and there was no love for me to be found on either the pegs or the pallets, unless you wanted CC w/crystal, hooded CC, or Scarlett. Oh, and wave 1-3 comic packs. :-P

Man, I was sorely tempted by that PS3 deal that WM was running a while back w/the $100 gift card. Did you get yours mainly for gaming, Blu-Ray, or both? Downloading the latest firmware has been a real pain but is worth it from what I've read.

Yep.. Earlier tonight there were 3 cases @ Baldwin Park. A fellow tanker told me he saw two other people walk away with 2 cases and he was able to spot a 3rd underneath some razor scooters, he asked for help on getting it but after an hour and a half wait, he dove into the pallet himself.

Right on! My brother got his back in December. He downloaded the V2.3something firmware that allowed a BR disc to pick up where you left off on viewing the movie even if you remove the disc or turn the PS3 off. It's pretty slick. Unfortunately, his BR laser conked out (they had a bad batch in December) but since he had his receipt Sony is willing to swap it out for free. Hang on to that receipt--it's $150 without it!

yeah I hit a TRU and Local Toy Dealer today and NADA.... I have sevral HISS tanks and Trouble Bubbles though.... :)

24 hour walmart in Santa Clarita has 2 cases of the vehicles...get there now if you can!

Which guy was it that was stocking? I hit that Wal-Mart every once in awhile and usually the guy at night is cool and helpful.

Chubby kid with glasses and blonde hair; went crazy when another employee pulled a case off the pallet for me; you would think I was taking it from his personal collection. However, There's an African American guy who normally wears a cap who's really cool and helps me out here and there; nice guy...too bad he wasn't there that night.
