The Viper is awesome. But my favorite figure from this wave is Snakes Eyes. Since I'm a card art freak I just love the art work on this wave. Pretty sweet.

Just went back out AGAIN and finally scored all but Hiss Driver (at the National City 4th/Highland location WM).

I spent 6 hours today driving around SD to find them, starting off at the Mexican border and up to the bottom of Pendelton!!!!

So the only Wal-Mart near me is the pit of dead cow ass that is the Panorama City Wal-Mart. I called earlier today and they said they were all out, so I decided to go just before closing when they stock the shelves and I found one case, in the hands of someone else who had gotten there just minutes before me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We looked all through the pallets but that was the ONLY damn case they got!!! He let me see them and said there was just one of each. I couldn't F-ing believe it. If only I had gotten there A FEW minutes earlier!!!!!!!!!!!

They had all the wave 2 and 3 comic packs and a lone Roadblock.

Went to Covina TRU and Wal-mart for lunch. There was nothing at TRU, but I found two Vipers and a new Butterfly Knife Snake Eyes sitting on the shelf at WM. I picked up the Vipers, but left the SE for another fortunate soul. I can't wait to get them home and open 'em up.

Wal-Mart (Hanford) - Two packs have been restocked with wave 2's but pegs still have wave 4's.

Target - 1 Buzzer but pretty much all Empty. Good, someone bought up all the refresher wave's, so looking at the other sightings, good chance wave 7 will pop up at Target on Wednesday morning or Thursday morning.

Congrats! I called that same Wal-mart this morning and asked if they had gotten any in...was told no and that they weren't likely to get any for a while. The dept. manager says "two weeks" every single time I've asked.

Well it looks like Target is dumping their switched-out GI Joe 2-packs to Goodwill (Target gives some of their old stock, out of season, and returned items to Goodwill) . I saw the 2-pack boxes of SE vs. SS, and Ace vs. WW with those cheap Walmart Hard CORPs figures in them instead. I'm guessing the Doc points were gone too.

i was 1st in line at the doors way before 8am with some scalper behind me that showed up late... so i ran like always and left him in the dust!!!!!!

so he had the nerve to tell me there is "no running" here when he found me later at the registers checking out with his hot wheels... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! and the old lady cashier gave me a hard time and DENIED me using the $5 OFF toys target coupon... what the heck!?!??! after finishing my heated argument with the SCALPER i had to talk some sense into the power tripping manager... i can't wait to respond to their survey!!!!! oh yeah, and i got DENIED using the hasbro $3 OFF coupon...

yeah i live in ventura county, and my cousin lives in orange county. I have 2 guys i see regularly, and my cousin has about 3. Everytime i go hunting i see them shoveling everything into their cart. Great News went to the Walmart near my work talked to the Toy manager. He is pissed off about scalper and fired one of his employess for hidding figures. The story has now started the rationing of Joes there is a limit of 2 per customer and they are trying to get all Wal-Mart in San Diego to follow. He has found a lot of the scalpers are at the swapmeet selling for $20. The manager doesn't want to cheat us the collect by thes jerks. The Toy manager knows who the scalpers are and on the day they are delivered his is waiting. He is more them happy to sell all to a collector but these scalpers he is done to. Go to your local Wal-mart and let them know. This is a great day but I let the little kid in front of me take the last Viper hope he will enjoy it and hopefully when he is an adult he'll miss it to.

Found the new wave in So. OC. The Mission Viejo Target had the new Snake Eyes with the butterfly knives, but that's it. The rest were the regular Scarlett/Hawk 2-packs.

They also had the updated Blackout and Incinerator Transformers. Also had a Nightwatch OP for those looking. The Iron Man figs are pretty much MIA except for the play outfit and the little kiddy pvc figs. The new Hulk movie toys were out on the shelves today as well.

I just received my box of Wave 7 from Cornerstone Comics. I'm very happy with it. Delivery was just one day and the figures look perfect. I only need to find one more Viper and I'm done with Wave 7. I also received one extra Wave 7 Snake Eyes which I'm looking to sell at about what I paid: $8 for anyone interested.

I live in Santa Clarita and this is how I'd break things down as far as hunting for Joes/SW:

1. 24 hrs Walmart: Best spot for picking up new waves of Joes (found both Waves 5 and 7 here).

2. Stevenson Ranch Walmart: Best spot for anything Star Wars related (picked up unleashed 3 3/4 wave here).

3. TRU Stevenson Ranch: Decent supply of both Joes and SW, but you have to be there at the right time; mid-day (picked up shadow trooper/commander neo carded figures here).

4. Target: Don't even bother...this place is a waste of time.

You're right about the Walmart, straight packed FULL of comic packs.
I even went to the customer service section and had them search for any Joe's in the back room and there was none. She did say there was a about 12 showing up on the computer at the Panarama Walmart.
But I was heading in the opposite direction at the time so they might still be there.

Both Targets on Balboa have nothing (even did a dcpi check)

Lol, I should've been clearer in my post, sorry. I know from reading online solicits from e-tailers that SE comes two to a case of eight. What I thought was bizarre was that out of at least three cases everything had been sold except for the SEs by the time I got there in the afternoon. I mean, I would've guessed the crappy Duke repaint would've been the last to go. So can anyone drop some knowledge on me? Is there something wrong with this fig or are collectors just tired of seeing yet another SE?

Speaking of SE in wave 8...y'know what's sad? The SE I got the other day was a 24-back. Of the 24 pics of characters on the back, there are two versions of SE, Destro, CC, and Duke. Hasbro is burning through the popular characters a little too quickly imo.

There was about 40 of those snake eyes a week ago so I suppose once they're gone they'll hopefully get more full sets of wave 7 and maybe even the new wave of comic packs. They had quite a few of the comic packs as well, although I never seem to find the blue snake eyes/storm shadow comic pack, which is the only thing I'm missing from the whole 25th anniversary set.

Covina Toys R Us and Wal-mart had plenty of all the comic packs, but that's it on the pegs. I did, however, uncover someone's stash and found a Wild Bill hidden away. I'm on the lookout for just one more HISS Driver, and possibly one more Viper. It shouldn't be this hard.

Speaking of Vipers, my team needs a commander. Anyone think we'll eventually get a Viper Officer like the one in the Viper Pit set, or do I need the help of one of my customizing friends?

Last week...after going 3-4 days straight to Target and nada... I go two days later and what do you know...I missed out on most.

I was able to get a Cobra Viper, a Cobra H.I.S.S. driver that someone purposely bent the package (typical problem here in Cali.) and a Wild Bill. No Snake Eyes, Major Bludd, Duke and Spirit.

Truthfully, just for three...I was shocked it came to a little over $22 with tax. I swear...wasn't it just several months ago, we were going to Wal-Mart and $21 would get us 4 figures. 5 for around $25. But man, this price increase really sucks.

Oh and I finally had to resort to eBay for armored Cobra Commander for $13.

Went to Covina K-mart for a change today actually looking for some Indiana Jones figures. They have a sale right now for $5 off a $20 purchase. Sadly, I didn't find a single Indy figure or even a peg or price tag to indicate that they were ever there.

I did spot one Wave 7 Snake Eyes (knives) sitting alone with no other Joes in sight. I hadn't thought of K-mart before, but I guess they have gotten the new Joes too.

Sorry guys, this isn't a reported sighting, just a request for assistance. Does anyone have a Spirit with a good looking head? I started a thread about this because mine came in today from BBTS and all along I've heard the complaints but always thought it looked fine, and even still I think it might just be mine cuz it really does look like the head got botched at the factory or something. So if anyone has an extra up for grabs that looks like it came out right I'd be interested in taking it off of your hands, unless of course they all look like mine! Thanks very much!
