I got a S.H.A.R.C. at the Target in Culver City on La Cienega so I'm all good!

I made three attempts at three different Targets yesterday only to strike out each time.

*Duarte Target: still no sign of them at all, and aisles are empty of any employees for me to ask.

*San Dimas Target: I asked a nice older stocker who was walking by and he went to a young guy in electronics who looked me over with heavy attitude and said that they couldn't put anything out until the street date of 4-14-08. As I was walking away I heard him telling off the older employee for even asking about product from the back. Nice to be treated like a theif for daring to ask about buying something from their store.

*Chino Hills Target: Also talked with an employee who was completely the opposite. Kindly told me that they weren't allowed to put the exclusives out until 4-14, but then suggested I check the new Target in West Covina because they didn't always follow street dates.

I think I need to be added to THE LIST.

Target told me some dumbness today they told me, "we put a box out every morning, after that we don't pull from the back whatever the truck brings goes out the next day due to the fact these are collectors items." i said but there toys what about kids that want them? "Well we have to give everyone a fair chance like the collectors who come to the store when we open and take them all up same thing goes for gi joe's" so i said ok so your saying the same guy can come every morning because u put them on the shelf once a day in the morning he will end up getting them all because scalpers have no life nor day job! hows that a fair chance to someone who has kids or a guy who really wants a set to get one?" she didn't have nothin' to say!

At least you tried. I think the Target Manager from YJ was trying to be helpful, but I don't think he realizes that not all Target employees are willing to help. Especially those who have a bias against anyone who looks like a scalper (which could be anything from age to clothing style) and possibly their pride after you've decided to "challenge" them with the street date vs planogram date info..

I went in there with my 5 year old son, who clearly loves playing with Joes too. It in essence was mean to my son too. Those items are not just for me, they are a bonding tool between my son and myself. We enjoy playing with the Joes together. They were out of line.

OK this is weird. My local target had a complete case of wave 2 on the pegs. Is this an old case that was lost in the back room or are we getting those back again? Imagine if we start getting wave one and two again with black timber snake eyes and yellow stalkers. That would pi$$ off a lot of people.



A friend found wave 2 at his target today (snake eyes and timber wave). This seems to not be the case of old cases (no pun) forgotten in the back anymore, but a redistribution of this old wave. Anyone missing something from that wave, should start looking into Targets.

Both snake eyes were white timbers. As far as I remember, the black timber snake eyes only came in wave 1 cases, but I might be wrong.

My only piece of advice is to NOT waste your time at Wal-Marts...the other biggies like TRU and Target are anyone's guess...good luck though!

Don't know what your situation is in FL, but depending on where you are, things may be harder to find.. I suggest going to a different store every morning if you're a morning hunter.. gives you an idea of who waits at which target or TRU.. gives you a better chance

Valencia TRU has a damaged Senior Officers GI Joe. Fairly minor box ding in the corner. I didn't but it because I'm not looking for those. I want the target exclusives if anybody could help out that would be cool.

just got my snake eyes with fix crotch last night at a target, i called and the computer said they had 32 single joes, when i get there they had 8, the manager said their computer updates every 48 hrs !!!!! so their info will always be 2 days too late!!!

fascinating that a store of target's size can't update their system daily....

I've found the 3 case pack of vehicles at Van Nuys Target, but the figure 3 packs are TRU exclusives, so you won't find them at a Target.

I haven't seen them anywhere near Van Nuys (I checked TRU on Sherman Oaks and up at Porter Ranch yesterday), but they have been spotted just north of us in Valencia.

I managed to aquire my target exclusive vehicles today at the tarhet in rancho cordova today in northern california. That had two endcaps full of em so i picked up two sets one for me and one for my brother. He's gonna owe me big time :> as far as single pack stuff goes NO store is stocking ANYTHING new. I havent even seen rock n roll, armored combra commander or torpedo anywhere. and now i here tell the hiss driver spirit jetpack duke (which is perfect for making a starduster custom everyone, ya just need a general hawk helmet for the helmet and visor) wild bill and major blood wave are hitting. Jeebus i wish i knew where i could get some of these new ones. Anyways lets keep the collectors strong and the dealers weak! CCCOOBBRRRAAAAA!!!!

Yeah, the stores up here in Santa Clarita have been horrible for the most part. Target never has anything and you have to hit TRU or Wal Mart in the first hour it's on the floor to get anything new (guess it's like that everywhere, though).

and yeah, they were at the check out lanes, like what other people said. weird indeed. i wasn't expecting them till next week. but couldn't resist not getting them.

on the check out lanes they got the Star Wars exclusives, TF exclusives, and the 25th vehicles. to my surprise, no one was getting the vehicles. when i approach the end cap, the SW & TF were almost gone, except for a few. the 25th? fully stocked. wow.

The Target in Walnut Creek told me yesterday that I could pick up the vehicles today... Today they told me that they have a street date of the 14th (as stated in a previous post).

The Wal-Mart in Martinez, and Target in Walnut Creek both were sporting a case of Wave 3 comic packs.

The TRU in Pleasent Hill had the five-packs, but not the three-pack exclusives. Bah. :)

I'll be checking the Target in Vallejo later today when I head out to get a hair cut.

Okay, update on the "release date" a few of us are hearing... It's a "drop dead date" for shelf release... Meaning they SHOULD be putting it on the shelf before that date, but at the latest ON that date.

The Vallejo Target told me the date was the 13th. I was in San Ramon today but didn't get to hit up the Target there to try with the DCPI number and "remind" the employee what the date means. I'm thinking I'll try again tomorrow in Vallejo and see what they say/do.

The Toys R Us Exclusives have deployed in North San Diego County. At 11:15 AM there were 2 complete sets at the Toys R Us on Auto Parkway off of the 15 in Escondido. Took one of each and left the remaining.

Also, as of 11:30 AM the Target on Auto Parkway had 3 complete sets of the Target Exclusives on the end of checkout aisle #2. Already have these so I left them.

true I knew the street date but what got to me was they could have explained this over the phone instead of me driving out there, the lady on the phone told to come down to the store and they could pull it for me. they don't hold collectables btw from what i was told so i went there only to be told about the release date.

Yup there a case with 6 vehicles in it, which has 2 of each. Either way, all cases should have at least 1 of each vehicle.

Still nothing at the Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill Targets (and PH TRU.) Got off work early for a doctor's appointment. The Pleasant Hill Target had remnants of the Wave 3 Comic Packs, so looks like they got something in this morning.

Anyone have the TRU 3 packs? Been jumping around SF Bay Area TRUs but have yet to see one.

I must have missed that post, I haven't been following the Target threads since I picked them up.

but when you ask someone a question that you know the answer to and when you know they are mistaken, your intent is to reveal their ignorance to them instead of just providing the truth. I don't have a problem admitting when I am wrong, and a simple no, that is incorrect and here is the truth will suffice. but asking the question in the manner he did is condescending.

and let me state for the record that I hold no hard feelings or grudges against Elite Force Cobra. we are all here in this thread to help each other, and I would hook him up with the next wave of figures today if I found them and he needed them.

Yea it was in the Target threads. Some dude on yojoe claiming to be a manager explained what all the Ts and whatever were.

Also explained a lot of the "regular" floor employees get street date and planogram date mixed up which is what the 4/13 is... a planogram or "set out to sell by" date.

Someone else also explained that if it was really street dated... it would say something in the system like DO NOT SELL UNTIL... and that toys rarely get street dates. Only things like CDs get street dates because of the rules/regulations set in place to penalize a store for early release.

I didn't know what the Target policy is, but I can confirm that it doesn't matter one damn bit. The 4-13 date might MEAN that they have to have the product on shelves by April 13th, however, I have been blasted on several occassions at several different Targets for even asking about these. Each time I was informed that they would not, under any circumstances, bring out the product before this date. They acted like I was a thief for even asking about it.

Perhaps you should provide this tutorial for TARGET EMPLOYEES who clearly don't grasp the concept, and not us common folk who don't need to know anyways.

Having said that, I'm off the list as Shadoviper was kind enough to save an extra set of the Target Exclusives for me.

Well if you know the info then maybe it will help you the common person get the Target exclusives with the knowledge that you have on the subject you can educate the employee or the manager and then maybe receive the 3 exclusives to buy. That is why I posted the info to help people who can't get them yet to have the fire power to tell Target employees or managers they are full of shit.

P.S. I found the Target release date info on Hisstank too there was a link to yo joe forums in one of the posts though. That info helped me the common person score my exclusives 2 weeks ago and that is why I passed it on to this thread to help others get their Joe fix.

Yeah but they wan't 1.5 to 3x the price depending on the figure.. I saw the Target Vehicle Exclusives for as low as $17. There are 2 people who have the PDD Gold and Silver. 1 wanted $150 for Silver and $300 for gold.

I go there to look and see items up close, especially the import stuff like the Transformers Encore and Masterpiece items...

They're open Wednesdays from 3-9 and Saturdays from 9-5

Cool thing about it now is that you have the product/item # they use in their system so you can call whatever TRU and have them check the system. It'll usually tell you when their next shipment is due. I did that last week and scored a set when they told me to come back i the morning because they were going to stock those that night. If i'm looking for them, i have them check 3-4 stores near me and if they have them in stock, call the site and have them put on hold. That's what i did with the 5-packs.. I'm good with the 3 packs .

Walmart in Aliso Viejo had the pegs full yesterday afternoon, I must have caught them just after restocking. I FINALLY got Torpedo, the rest I already had but I picked up seconds of Destro v2, Rock N Roll, CC v2, and Crimson Guard. They had some more of each on the pegs, including Road Block.

I also got my TRU command sets yesterday in Mission Viejo, so it seems I got lucky twice!

Got my Target exclusive vehicles the other day. Used the DPCI number I was given and asked the emplyeees. Got me three HISS tanks, three Awe Strikers, and one Night Spector (only wanted one). One Target I went to had them in the check out lanes next to the Transformers Movie Target exlusive Allspark Deluxes. Another had them in the back. Yet another had them on an endcap in the toy aisle area. And to think I nearly gave up and almost plucked down lots of mula to get them off of Ebay. Thank goodness for patience.

Picked up the Target exclusives at the Walnut Creek Target this morning. The Pleasant Hill Target hasn't put any out yet, which makes me think that they may have previously sold theirs to Ebay scalpers (or hopefully one of youse guys). Could just be lazy employees, too. Might be a good place to check back during the week if other Targets deplete their inventory and ya still need some. I dunno.

Yeah Mr.X, stay away from the Ebay (especially waaayyy overpriced items). Out of all the things I collect, G.I.Joes don't seem too hard to find if you're patient enough. I did go the Ebay route recently for an Iron Grenadier Destro (~$10 with shipping) only to find him on the shelf last week at the Pleasant Hill Target. Sheesh!

Valencia is notorious for having lazy employees who stock when they feel like it. They missed the shelf date for the Transformers toys last year too by like three days. They are so lame at that store. Customer Service there is pathetic. Especially the one employee named Dee, she is as dumb as a rock.

Hit up the Target in San Jose off Montague and Landess, the one by Milpitas.
They had nothing, not even the comic packs or Buzzers....lol.
The Walmart in Milpitas had nothing as well!
Hit up the Target at the old Sunnyvale Mall, and they had looked like they put out the rehashed waves, they had a lot of Stalkers, and two Lady Jayes. The Stalker cards were all ripped down the middle, so I am sure some ass did that as he cleaned that whole section out, and I think it's the same dude who goes to the Toys R Us down the street from there and does the same thing!
Finally I hit up the Target in Cupertino on Stevens Creek.
They had about 15 Buzzers, which is 14 more than what they had last week when I went to get my exclusive vehicles. So they must have put more stuff out, and were cleaned up yet again.
If you are looking for the Tomax Xamot comic pack, they had like 3 of them there. They also had one of the Snake Eyes vs. cloaked Storm Shadow, and one Wild Weasel vs. Ace, and one of the Dreadnok, comic pack still.
I picked up the one of Destro/Breaker and CG/Scarface ones they had.
So, it looks like they are restocking, but we is missing the boat!

My buddy and I each picked up a full set of four transformers deluxe exclusives, as well as all three the Joe Vehicles. They had a ton of the star wars exclusive order 66 series 2 as well, but we passed on them. ( theres 6 of em. )

everything was $9.99 at checkout. ( even the vehicles, which made my day, lol )

i hit it up between 6:00-6:30 pm today. if they dont have anything, just ask em to do a dcpi search. We did that to get another bumble bee, cause i got the last one... :)

Saw two Premium Leader Optimus Primes but passed. Will wait for a real pic comparison to the Takara version, which looks excellent. And to think the Hasbro one looks good already. I like the new head sculpt though.

Premium Leader Megs on the other hand I didn't like. His solid gold trims looked good, but Hasbro decided to also give him messy gold splashes all over to make him look more metallic like or something. Hate that. It looked like they gave some kid a paint brush to go bonkers over the toy. lol.

That's it. Whoever the ass**** is that keeps stealing the damned figures and Doc points out of the comic 2-packs and returning them to Target, I'm looking for you. I've seen these phoney returns all over the pegs from Duarte to Chino Hills, and now it's affected my wife.

It was my birthday yesterday, and one of the little surprises my wife brought home to me was a GI Joe comic 2-pack. Now I have one of those wives who does not understand my collection at all, and usually barely tolerates it. But she went out of her way to find a little something just for me and I can't tell you how much it touched me. Unfortunately, it was one of those packs where some jerk steals the figures, pulls the comic out and covers the front of the package, re-seals it, and returns it. She was so disappointed when I was forced to explain it. It took what was supposed to be a sweet moment and made her feel bad. Like somehow, she did something wrong no matter how much I tried to tell her different.

I am really pissed off. Not just at the thief, but at Target as well. I'm going back there today with my receipt and I'm gonna be really angry. My wife explained that ALL the figure packs looked like this. There's just no excuse. Either Target is really lazy, or they just don't give a damn! Either way, they're about to lose a very good customer.

It's true that most customer service people don't care, but I gotta say in Hasbro's defense that they DID devise a better way of distributing the points. Back when He-Man did they Moss Man mail away it was via POP's, and people would just cut that out of the back of the card and it was very easy. That kind of thing is EXACTLY why Hasbro put them inside the sealed package, inside the comic, and inside a plastic bag. There was honestly no way for them to know that people would be sneaky dishonest jerks to this extent, or that the retailers would be paying THIS little attention.

Unfortunately, from my experiences with Target and their Star Wars exclusives, they get one shipment and that's it. These are essentially limited edition toys.

At ten bucks, and putting them on a register end-cap, these have scalper-bait written all over them.

My local Target got twelve. They had 3 Tanks and 3 Sharcs on one shelf. I was like WTF who bought all the Awe Strikers? I went back three days later and they had one Awe Striker and one Sharc left. What had happened was they didn't have enough room to put out all 12 on the tiny shelf. :P

I hear you man! I am so pissed right now at my local Target here in the Rancho Cucamonga area for the same exact reason. Three or Four times last week I noticed the figures on the comic packs were either switched out or the POP's were missing. So, being an honest collector and not wanting any decent people to get ripped off I went to a manager on duty and explained to him what was happening. Well, by the third day of going there and seeing this same thing happen again and again, I tried to explain to the same manager what to look for and how to tell if anything was changed from the original packaging. He the began to question me as if I was the one doing it! I could not believe my ears. The audacity of that man was ridiculous! All I was trying to do was help. Anyway, I went back a few days later and the same figures I told him were tampered with were RIGHT THERE BACK ON THE SHELF! Simply mind blowing. Not only is Target not doing anything to atop these bastards they are knowingly selling product that has stolen or missing parts. This is insanity! What's next? Are they going to start selling bags of Doritos with a few chips already eaten?

Just another reason why I hate store exclusives. I can't say that I'm surprised this happened, though since this line is already hard to find even when it comes to the regular figures that are available everywhere. I know the $10 price made it even more appealing to scalpers to jump at so I am envious for all of the collectors that managed to score these at retail for the actual price. What sucks is that even the figures are going for $10-$15 loose on ebay (which is all I actually really wanted).

(Commander Neyo & Zev Senesca) I'm guessing you're familiar with Star Wars collecting from your user title ;) I for one would like a carded Tele-Viper. So I plan on asking for a single-carded release for him in the next Q&A. If enough fans tell 'em to release vehicle drivers on singles, it'll happen.

I know I'd rather have that than half-assed repaints.

Funny thing is that when I was a kid I always liked how with Star Wars toys you never had to buy a vehicle to get a figure like you had to for a lot of the Joe figures (now that isn't the case). Thats why you buy the vehicle w/ figure package.. pull the figure and replace with some other figure you don't want... Return it and get your money back, it's a win-win situation ;) J/K

I do like the fact they add a figure to the vechicles, more bang for your buck but for figures you want to troop build that would be a burden because you end up with extra stuff you don't want.. i'm sure you can sell the vehicle for whatever price and someone will want it.. but that could be a hassle.

Target at Bridgepointe in San Mateo still has all three of the exclusives. Two of each on the shelves when I went there after lunch. Kinda odd since there was only one Awe Striker the other night and the scanner said nothing was in the storeroom. Left 'em, but I finally got Rock n Roll. He was surrounded by Buzzers. Nothing else in the way of singles.

TRU at Bridgepoint had the red ninja and night watch packs. Nothing else of note. Already have 'em, so I left 'em.

Now, I'm tempted to go back after work and get another Hiss. BTW - they also still have the Star Wars and Transformers exclusive stuff although I didn't look through the assortment, so I can't tell u what's exactly there.

i actually asked a TRU employee one time, they say they usually get the assortment for wave 5 and wave 6. but they usually get it once in every 2 weeks. it turns out he was right. so that's how i got most of the crimson guards and was able to get 4 or 5 in the whole month alone. so i guess you need to make the right timing, and hit up a TRU, and you'll get it. plus they get weekly of those nightwatch and red ninja packs weekly.

just be nice to them. it might help. :D plus i got her number. <wink>

not really. i guess. maybe they did, but....buuutttt... .TRU already has an alloted space (thank God) for those exclusives. they've just printed out the tag for that since they already have a planogram for that section. so that either the night or morning crew won't need to figure out where to place the exclusives, just find the spot and bam.

Went to Wal-mart in Chino Hills this morning. The pegs had a few Cobra Troopers along with the usual Serpentors and Buzzers. I'm really surprised that the Ace/Wild Weasel pack appears to be a huge pegwarmer too.

On a side note, I found some great little tackle boxes to store all my 25th figures in when they're not on display. This should be tons better than leaving them jumbled in a box somewhere.

got one case of wave 7 at Union City Walmart.

Got me five cases of Wave 7 last night at Milpitas Walmart. I left some Dukes, Snake Eyes, and Spirits behind. Sorry, no Hiss drivers or Vipers. Troop building at the moment. Looks like Walmart is getting them in this week so everyone go check their Walmarts now! I bet Target won't be far behind.

Monrovia Wal Mart stocked full of wave 7 this morning. grabbed a couple of sets but left at least 5 or 6 sets.
