wave 6 was at the Monrovia TRU today. Azusa TRU was stocking toys when I was there, so anyone looking for wave 6 may want to go by if it is in your area, they may have put them out as well.

1 Set, the case comes with one of each. I hid the Ninja and Nightwatch packs.

I just came home from the big toy show at the san jose fairgrounds. Found EVERY 25th anniversary figure made times 20. Half the dealers were selling them at $7-$10 each, the other half $10-$20 each. All 3 comic pack waves for $15- $25 each. A single black timber SE carded for $100. I didn't buy any. I see no reason why they all wont be plentiful at retail level sometime in the future. Choke on em, scalpers!
Picked up a vamp (no steering wheel or gas cans) for $5, a complete fang for $8, complete thunder machine for $5, the 3 wheeled motorcycle for $5 and serpentors flying thing thrown in. I was happy beyond happy.

Jeeze! I skipped the San Jose show and hit the Sacramento GIJOE shindig, but it was lame. The scalpers were even worse there, as most figures were in the $15 to $20 range. I saw the Destro/Breaker comic pack (which I need) for $40. Pbbt!!! Screw that! Shoulda went to San Jose.

The Pleasant Hill Toys R US got the Wave 3 Comic Packs in last Friday. By the time I got there all they had was the Crimson Guard Fred/Scarface and Tattered Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow packs.

I'm always up to help scout around. I check the Walnut Creek & Pleasant Hill Targets and Toys R Us a few times a week (depending if I get off work early enough.) I'm a noob here, so please be gentle...

I had a good find day...

This morning a friend of mine showed me all three Wave 6 and the Dreadnok Comic pack figures he got from the Walnut Creek Target the night before (claims they only had one of each, he probably was just bein' a cheap*** mofo and didn't wanna pick me up some.)

Figured everything was already gone, but I needed some more athletes foot spray so I decided to stop into the Walnut Creek Target anyways. Walked down the toy aisle found a smorgasbord of joe figures! They had everything but the Wave 6 line, Iron Grenadier Destro, and the Ripper and Torch comic pack. Sweetdogs!

Couldn't stop there. Pleasant Hill Target had nothing but Wave 1 comic packs and Buzzer. Pleasant Hill TRU had the same stuff and one Crimson Guard Fred/Scarface comic pack (which I picked up, heh.) Martinez Walmart had a 4 or 5 of the Wave 3 SnakeEyes/Stomshadow comic packs.

Anybody found the Target/TRU exclusive vechicles/3&5 packs in the SF Bay Area? They seem to be poppin' up elsewhere but I have yet to find any (or know of anybody who got 'em.)

have you tried other TRU? like sunnyvale, new san jose store, etc? call `em up. coz TRU is the only store that i know would still have it on the shelves.

and maybe, just maybe K-mart, either peninsula or east bay locations.

Yeah the K-Marts should still have them. They did last time I checked.

Sunnyvale TRU has a bunch of Joe 5 packs. Haven't seen the Cobra one lately, which I know is the one you're looking for. Also, if interested, I got the Legion 5-pack off Ebay for $23 (shipping included). These must be the ones people bought on clearance and resold... but it's still below regular retail and there's tons selling on Ebay you can snatch below retail if you look!

And as far as the exclusives, I got my shipping notice from TRU.com for the five-packs. With as "not-so-joyous" as the Pleasent Hill TRU has been, I didn't expect to see them for awhile. And as soon as I find the Target stuff, I'll probably swoop them ALL up, and let you kids know.

(I still think it's better to buy it right then instead of risking someone else picking it up.)

I went to Star Anime in the Burbank mall yesterday to get one of those metal/magnet shelves for my Cobras (Pics to follow this weekend!) and there was a guy leaving with a big plastic tub with lots of Joe and Star Wars figures in it and I said "Did you just clear out all the good stuff?" and so he stopped and we talked and he told me he sells his stuff to Star Anime and that he works at TRU. Nice guy who let me look through his stuff but there weren't any figures I needed from him or inside Star....good God I love being caught up!

I know the one you're talking about but that's another one. That one's in Van Nuys (on Sherman Way, right?) but the one I'm talking about is actually in Burbank on Victory near Magnolia and the Star Anime is in the mall about a mile away.

Technically if that guy is withholding figures from customers to benefit for himself, he shoud be fired @ TRU.

I've seen this many times before, the people stock the shelves and then hold back figures for themselve and hide them in the backroom.. I suppose a perk for working there but seriously.. thats messed up.

Honestly I see lots of gray area here. Yeah, it is messed up, but what if you were working there or had a friend who was? Wouldn't you be taking advantge of that kind of job perk? Maybe not to the extent he is, but I know we all would. And we don't know to what extent he is taking it because I posted about this over on the Fwoosh and someone else who had met him found a Hydra soldier on the shelves recently, so he's not taking EVERYthing good that comes in.

He-Man is my main collection and my best friend/roommate started working at TRU just after the Commemorative series ended and right before the new line came out, and all I know is that I was SERIOUSLY disappointed about that timing! ;-)

Big Lou's...*Sigh* yea. I went there they have EVERYTHING!!!!!! Bought some old school joes there before. prices were alright...but all the newer stuff or exclusives were not at TRU or TARGET but @ LOU's

The TRU in Valencia is holding figures for people too. Something has to be done to stop scalpers. The employees are getting kickbacks for calling the scalpers nowadays.

Just a heads up, I just found the Cobra Night Watch and Ninja Vs. Snake Eyes 5 pack at Toys R Us in Escondido, CA. on 3/14/2008

They only had one Night Watch Set and two Ninja Vs. Snake Eyes set when I got there. I grabbed the night watch set, of course :D. The two ninja sets are still there as of 2pm today.

If anyone sees the Twins (need 2), Dreadnoks and the Destro Comic packs please stash them for me. I live near the West Hollywood Target so its a plus for me. :D But any of the stores in Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and near Hollywood is good as well. :)

I go to Lou's in Culver City and if you frequent the store, they will get a better price than listed, its like a bar, news guys always pay full price, but if you pay here and there, its worth it, rather than driving around all day long.... I went to Star Anime in the Burbank mall yesterday to get one of those metal/magnet shelves for my Cobras (Pics to follow this weekend!) and there was a guy leaving with a big plastic tub with lots of Joe and Star Wars figures in it and I said "Did you just clear out all the good stuff?" and so he stopped and we talked and he told me he sells his stuff to Star Anime and that he works at TRU. Nice guy who let me look through his stuff but there weren't any figures I needed from him or inside Star....good God I love being caught up!

I strongly encourage everyone here to never buy from the scalper shop at Burbank media center mall (star anime). The official name of that store is "halo13" but the idiot owner hasn't changed the sign outside ever since he got the space about 8 months ago. This lowlife cleans out all of the local stores to stock his crappy little shop: North Hollywood and Burbank targets, Burbank TRU and Burbank KB. He used to be the manager of the Burbank KB right there at the mall where his shop is and of course, he still controls all the good merchandise that arrives there and he still gets the 20% employee discount. Of course he then sells the toys 3 times its retail price.

Don't buy from him or you'll be supporting a scalper.

I go to Lou's in Culver City and if you frequent the store, they will get a better price than listed, its like a bar, news guys always pay full price, but if you pay here and there, its worth it, rather than driving around all day long.... I have found some stuff at that TRU, but few and far between....

I don't care how "nice" they may become to regulars. Fat Lou's still a stinky, dirty scalper.

In the Sunny San Diego area, Target exclusive vehicles were sold out at the Kerny Mesa according to the toy rep!?

So I called a few more and some are not even in their inventory system, some will not get them, and one says they are not to be released until April.

it's been kinda scarse around here lately..but hit up the Target on Shaw/Clovis yesterday...*jackpot*..finally found my Snow Job and Torpedo(only one of each)....still a bunch of Serpentors,Buzzers and Stalkers on the pegs..plus the usual Hawk/Scarlett comic packs.......

Found the Gray Pants variant of Red Pants Sigma SS at the Culver City TRU today. I hadn't even heard of that variant, so I was pretty excited. Then I looked it up and there are 3 on eBay right now. No problem, that just makes me feel better about opening it when I get a chance later!

Also happy because this is the TRU across from Big Lou's. Other Sigma's at the TRU included Red Pants Red Pants SS and three gray Timber SE's. No meaningful 25th stuff, just the usual Stalkers, Buzzers, and Serpentors.

Culver City Target just had a ton of Stalkers, Buzzers, and Serpentors, too.

The Pittsburg TRU had a bunch of the exclusive 5-packs earlier today. Nothin' else, though. Just an FYI.

I got the 5-packs at the Pleasant Hill TRU last Thursday. They moved the action figures to the far left of the store if ya haven't been there in a week or so. The Pittsburg TRU had quite a few (~5 each or so) yesterday. That might be a better way to go if ya are still looking for them.

I didn't like that movie, the Theatrical cut was horrible. It was nice roller coaster ride and then all of the sudden...... <blank> Check out the Alternate Ending, it was a little better.. IMO. However, if you think about it, the theatrical ending made sense but it wasn't your traditional ending.

I read in a local flyer that he was appearing there this weekend. I wish I could go get an autograph too. My youngest is only two, but she absolutely LOVES Spider-man. When Pt. 3 was released on DVD they had a costumed actor in our local Wal-mart and she was practically kissing the poor guy. They also had vehicles for the smaller Sigma figures. Panther Rail, Ghost Shark, Iron Hammer, Hiss Tank and Arctic Vamp. Rail and Shark are $5.99.

I bought presale tickets on Wednesday for $25 and they were selling tickets at the door for $30 on Saturday w/ a T-shirt from POW entertainment.. Presale didn't get the shirt but we were 1st in line. They called out the last 3 #'s of your ticket in groups of 50 to stand in line.. He was only signing Autos, so it was a pretty smooth flow. I was in the 3rd group (#146) so it gave me time to walk around the show.

I went to Citywalk Friday and had one of those cartoon artists draw me up my photo with on top of a spiderman body.. it's pretty cool. I had Stan autograph it.. he had a pretty good laugh, along with his group, at the picture and said "People with think i drew this".

It was cool to see him in person.

I was there yesterday too I got there around 10 .. Stan got a standing ovacion when he got there.. didn't find any joe's since I got them all. but I did get me a Masterpiece Starscream... some people there are crazy with there prices...lol IMO ...

I have to say that the figures look cool, but it just seems wrong to leave them with classic Joe guns. I've ordered the "Save the Heavy Weapons" pack from Marauder which I think will go perfectly with these guys.

I agree, we should help each other out. I don't hunt anywhere as much as I use to but I have numerous Targets near me and if I see them I'll gladly pickup a few extras for my fellow "Tankers" in the San Fernando Valley.

I'm looking to pick up one each of the AWE Striker and Sharc, but would like to have two HISS tanks if possible, but money is tight these days. Luckily these guys are supposed to be $9.99 which means I shouldn't have a problem picking up one at a time.

I just scored all three of the exclusive GI JOE 25th vehicles. Gave them the DPCI 087060918 and she had someone grab a case. I was flirting big time with the employee so that probably helped. I dunno if they have any more cases there. Keep a big smile while you ask, that's the most important thing. Here's how it went down:

I punched in the # on the price scanner. The buttons were disabled by the toy section (They like to disable them for collectors) so I went to another scanner across the store and the buttons worked. It said "IN BACKROOM: YES" So I found a semi-cute employee and said:

Hi, I was on the target website yesterday and I saw an item on there that I wanted. The website said your store had some in stock, but I don't see any on the shelf. :(

What item is it?

Oh it's this jeep looking toy, I have the dpci # from the website I can give it to you. (Don't say it's GI JOE, they will know you're a collector and tell you to f-off)

Hmm ok let me find the guy that works the dept for you.

got a set at Pasadena, they weren't out but they grabbed a set for me from the back. same trick, give them the DCPI number and they'll take care of it. but they would only get me one set.

That's absolutely crazy! Why would anyone go to the trouble? They'd have to at least buy those generic army figures to put in the package, and for the price they paid for them they could have simply resold the comic-pack Joes loose on ebay. i got the scalper blues, i can't find anything when i want to find it, i always find things when i'm not ready to pay for it, etc. i'm not going to start getting up early on saturdays and waiting outside til the store opens and all that shit. o-well i'm pretty annoyed. i work over 60 hrs a week and have a family i don't have time to chase star wars and other hot figs down, f*%! it.

Scalpers are the ones who don't post regularly and suddenly pop in to "offer" to sell the latest, hard-to-find figure/vehicle at only three times the retail cost. Regular collectors are those of us who try to find figures for each other and either trade or sell them at cost, or with a slight mark-up for gas and stuff.

You should have taken them up to the customer service desk and told them what was going on. Because you are right, some poor unsuspecting kid is going to get shafted when he is expecting joes and gets crappy target military figures instead...

It would be worth a try.. but I really think it's futile.. I haven't seen one post where someone says "I took these to an employee/manager/customer service and told them these were swapped with fake toys" and have it end with it actually being corrected/pulled or whatever..

I read one once. Someone took a comic pack to the CS desk and they pulled it, but again you are right. It doesn't happen that often. Places like wal mart, target, and tru should pull those items when people tell them they are bogus. Because the next time one of our wives or in laws buy some joes for one of our kids, they could be getting screwed...

yup, I saw those swaps at Duarte too. funny thing is last week I returned a perfectly good Scarface/CG pack, and the lady marked it defective because she thought it had been opened because it was taped on the sides. I explained to her it wasn't, that they come taped, but she should be careful when accepting returns on them because sometimes they will be opened and returned. she said she just got one that looked opened, and showed me a Tomax/Xamot pack that had clearly been opened for the Doc sticker.

it is just funny on one hand there is an overly aggressive clerk there as well as one that clearly is as blind as a bat. I mean, these are bad repackages, they are missing the figure stands, weapons, and inserts.

These figure swappers are even worse than scalpers in my opinion. They are stealing thieves. Plain and simple. If all 10 of those are the same guy (and without a doubt most certainly were) then he just stole/ripped off, whatever you want to call it, $100 in merchandise. It should be taken just as seriously as shoplifting but unfortunately is harder for the store employees to pinpoint (although I just have to think some of these employees know when this happens....maybe they just don't want to raise a fuss or take the time to bring the manager or security over and prosecute the thief).

Picked up a total of 3 full sets (2 for me and 1 for DTR281) and 1 missing vehicle for gunslinger. I checked Norwalk and Downey Targets earlier today and they had none. I went back earlier tonight to Pasadena and everthing was wiped out.

but in case they didn't put them all out and there is still some on the back, I'd recommend anyone in the area to give those stores a call and have them check the DCPI. check my earlier post, I left the numbers for each store.

I'm in Monrovia, so if they hit at the Duarte store (which had none according to their system, I'll pick them up for anyone who still needs them when they do).

Which store was this? Pasadena East or West? I went to East earlier (10am) and they were trying to restrict me to only two vehicles (I was able to walk out with 1 set, 1 Awe Striker and Night Specter). West (1045am) had at least 3-5 sets sitting on the bottom shelf (I picked up 1 set, 1 HISS Tank and AWE Striker) and more in the backroom (according to the price scanner). As of 9pm tonight, nothing was in the backroom for either of them.

I'll leave Duarte to gunslinger and i'll check other surrounding Targets and if i find another set, i'll pick em up.

If they're still in West Covina, I might have to make a stop on the way home today. The problem is that I usually don't have any luck when calling stores. Most of the time they have no interest in talking to you if you're asking about toys.

Although, there was a great girl at my local Target in Chino Hills last year who went waaaaaaay out of her way to locate and get me a set of the Order 66 2-packs. I went to the Target by me yesterday (Valencia) and they didn't have any of the new vehicles. I was quite disappointed since they seemed to have appeared almost everywhere else in or near the SF Valley.

Last I checked my local target (that one target in san jose next to the closed TRU) they had like 3 proto type iron man figures, a lot of the mask and disk launcher, acouple of the superhero 4 pack thingies, and I think that's about it. Hope that helps.

Target, El Camino & 78 - CG & BlueSuit CP and I think the Dreadnok CP. No vehicles that I noticed, but I wasn't looking either, didn't know they were out then.

Do the vehicles have any cool retro art on them, or is it just a plastic package? I seem to recall images of just plastic packages... Makes me a little sad. The art on the carded figs is mostly why I buy them, which is why the comic packs make me sad (poor tomax xamot and that crappy comic...) The art on the vehicles were great.

I was visiting family in South City, and the Colma Target had tons of the exclusive Iron Man figure.
The Sunnyvale TRU finally restocked after a month! I was so freaking tired of just seeing that damn buzzer on the shelf for a month.
But, sadly, the whole racks were cleaned out, minus a Air Trooper, with a bend up card, so I picked him up.
No new exclusive packs, just tons of the 30 dollar joe sets!

A friggin' scalper on ebay that's from Canyon Country is selling these for $40 + $10 for S&H! He's trying to sell the HISS for $60??!!

not all of the Targets have gotten them. there are approximately 6 Targets in the radius that was checked for me, and when I was given a printout of what stores had them and how many, only three stores did.

go to customer service, ask them to check the DCPI, and if they have it ask them to bring you a case. explain that there are three different ones in them and you want one of each.

I went straight to Target in West Covina on Friday but I didn't find a darned thing. There were no exclusive vehicles and when I asked the guy said that since there were no price tags or spaces on the shelves that meant they didn't have them.

It seems like most of you are "finding" them in the back rooms. Are these making it to the shelves at all? Will they be displayed with the rest of the Joes (and by rest I mean the 3-4 Buzzers sitting on the pegs), or are they going to a special endcap like the SW exclusives?

OK this is weird. My local target had a complete case of wave 2 on the pegs. Is this an old case that was lost in the back room or are we getting those back again? Imagine if we start getting wave one and two again with black timber snake eyes and yellow stalkers. That would pi$$ off a lot of people.

Regarding the exclusive vehicles, this time I was told they are at the warehouse and that they will have them in the backroom any time and that I should check tomorrow if I wanted to.

Good to hear about more figures making the rounds! Seems like it's been forever since I seen any single figures on the shelves (other than Buzzer and Stalker.) The comic packs seem to get resupplied way more often.

Has anyone seen any of the Target vehicles in Nor Cal? Supposedly all the Targets are sitting on them, but the cases state "Do Not Sell before April 14th". I noticed that someone got their Target to open a case already in the forums.

From what i've seen only Pasadena West had shelf space for them with a price tag. The other targets i went to had nothing.

Valencia and Simi said they won't be on the shelves until the reset which is on the 14th.

all the 5 targets i visited since saturday morning 8am didn't have any price tags or any shelf space for the vehicle exclusives... and i didn't ask for a location check since I didn't have the DPCI number... then when i did ask for the item with the number seems like they had them in the stockroom this whole time...

Yeah, if the shelf date is 4/14 or whatever then they'll just be sitting in the backroom until then. If you can get them to go back and get you a set, that works for you so you won't have to worry about going to Target 4/14 and trying to score any. Someone mentioned that they're going to be in the store ad, so you'll be fighting plenty of people at the door, if that's true.

I hit up the Duarte, CA Target again this afternoon with no luck. I'm glad there's somebody out there finding these darned things.
