Stopped in at Glendora Wal-mart on the way to work this morning. No Joes at all, not even any empty pegs. The only thing I did find was a Buzzer package with the figure stolen out of it lying on the shelf. I asked if they were going to re-stock the GI Joes and was told to come back later.

Exactly, i've been hitting them up every day since and nothing. I heard Covina WM got wave 5 around the same time.

Rancho C, Duarte, and Glendora had no joes.. Glendora did have an open Buzzer with the figure missing.

Baldwin Park had 1 flint on the peg and they put out some SW figures, i found a Gold Dark Trooper. In case anyone is interested, i hid both figures in the paper shredder / whiteboard section. They're on the bottom shelf behind a black boardered whiteboard where the shredders and whiteboards meet.

TRU Stevensons Ranch (2pm) - 8 pegs full...4 Troopers, 3 flints, 2 stalkers, 4 red ninjas, 2 zartans, 2 buzzers, 5 beach heads, 4 fireflys, and 3 lady jays.

I picked up a Zartan with sticker and a Buzzer.

All figs were on decent looking cards.

Each box/case of wave 5 only contains one duplicate of wave 5.. and that's CG. The other dupes are Shipwreck and Hooded CC..

This searching all over for the new waves and finding nothing is just too depressing. At least with a new Star Wars wave you're bound to find one or two new figures buried with the pegwarmers. It's so frustrating to go from store to store and find absolutely nothing, not even peg-warmers 90% of the time.

I should just Pre-order every wave from BBTS from now on.

So was I, nothing... She mentioned that the case did come in yesterday and for some reason she just held it back... i can't complain, i was thinking that strolling in at 3am i'd find nothing but was wrong.. i was shocked to see she'd do that for someone.

I'm trying to collect 2 sets for myself and a friend. The next set i find is for another member here and if i find anymore it's going to members of the board...

I'm currently in NoCal and i'm going to hit up whatever walmarts i can locally. Good News, i won't be out this weekend looking so if you guys search, you may find them.

Baldwin Park haven't had any wave 5 since Saturday and i think Duarte hasn't received any wave 5 figures. Rancho had wave 3 on Sat, Wave 3,4,5 on Monday/Tuesday? - Nothing since. Glendora had 3 cases of some figures but someone snagged them all Sunday, Wave 3 hit last night.

My luck has been hitting up those store between 11-3am and 6am for Duarte and Panorama City.

Forgot to mention, if you've never been there before, autographs, pix, etc. aren't FREE.. which sucks but they got to make a living somehow.. Autos may range from all price ranges, i got a Ken Norton Auto w/ picture (Him fighting Ali, very nice photo) for $20 a couple of weeks ago.

Figured i'd disclaim that before people are thinking of getting multiple autos and then spending $100 for them.

Yeah, i was up there for work and hit up 5 walmarts which were near the Airport. I was surprised not to find any Targets or TRUs. I figured i'd drive by one but had my route planned so maybe i just overlooked them.

1 case of wave 2 comic packs, that's a huge score, especially when wave 1 just was released last week... Man, good thing i have my cases on order. Made plans for Vegas this New Years, so i gotta save up for that and won't hit the stores as frequently as i've done in the past.

Wal Mart (Santa Clarita, CA) off of Newhall Ranch - Wave 1 and 2 comic packs. They had 2 of each...I picked up 1 Nocks, 1 Breaker, 1 Hawk...but left the others because of the bright colors.

They also had a S6 LT. Torpedo, SE Dojo, and Sgt. Boulder if anyone is interested in this line.

This Wal Mart is a little hidden but if your in the area (near Magic Mountain) it's a good score.

WM accepted the return of an incomplete product, they have to accept that. there system will identify that it had been returned and whether they choose to pursue any action against the thief is their choice, but they sold you an incomplete toy and either owe you a refund or an exchange.

Man this sucks... I usaully scoop the Walmart at Crenshaw and did find one CC/DUKE Comic pack that totally looked like it was tampered with....I did not buy it, and now hearing your story, confirms that the Walmart at Crenshaw has been "Infiltrated" by Cobra "Scalpers/theifs".... we must work together on this one if we want to continue hunting their....

I've never seen anything beyond Wave 3 in the wild. I was forced to order my two Wave 4 figures from Hasbro and got a loose set of Wave 5 (+ extra CG) from eBay. I'm not having high hopes for Wave 6.

I thought I found gold when I saw a half-a-dozen Legions packs in the clearance dump aisle at the San Dimas Target. I ran one over to the price checker only to find they were STILL $17.98!

I've never seen anything beyond Wave 3 in the wild. I was forced to order my two Wave 4 figures from Hasbro and got a loose set of Wave 5 (+ extra CG) from eBay. I'm not having high hopes for Wave 6.

I sure we will start seeing wave 5 more often as soon as targets start selling out of the left overs. I dont think they place new orders until the current product is sold out. I still have not seen waves 4 or 5 in the stores. ShadoViper has seen both and was able to grab an extra sets for me.

I know you check some of the same stores that Shadoviper and I check also. I work early mornings or late evenings, so I check when stores open or at walmart when they are stocking at night. Those seem to be the best times.

I have a wife who is understanding of my hobby, but work and family do take priority, so I am not out everyday looking. Its hard to do that. So it takes patience and a little bit of luck. Plus help from friends on the board.

Been to several targets here in san jose. Found comic packs at 1, nothing past wave 3 if any at all. This is very lame. Most toy sections are still complete disaster areas.

I just found 1 full set of Wave 5 at the Target in Simi Valley.
Naturally I took them all (BBTS hasn't shipped my set yet).

Looks like they should be hitting more Targets in the area real soon!!
They also had SE/SS, CC/Duke and Scarlet/Hawk comic packs and and your basic shelf fillers from the earlier waves.

Walmart in Simi was void of joes.
They did have 4 Nightwatch Primes for you TF collectors.
He's cool and all but I try not to do repaints, I'm running out of display space.

Blagkh, Cerritos Targets still have the revision residue of Shipwreck and CC, some opened Wave 1 comic packs, and no 5-packs. They've even brought back the gray stickers.

I hate those little gray circles of unjoy.

I'm really hoping, considering the sightings lately, that I'll see some Wave 5 on the weekend.

Hey guys finally after driving to 3 Walmarts and 4 Targets... I was finally able to get a Wave 5...Looks like Target is the place to have them (I am So Cal, LA area)...that where I found them... I cleared them out but as you can see I did not hoard, 1 set to open and one for MOC, I do not think I will get another IG Destro though, but need 1 more snake eyes....but only 2 of of the 7 stores had anything of wave 5. Good luck hunters, I wish the hunt was over for me, as I still need Wave 2 Comic Packs...

It looks like Target is the place for Wave 5. After checking Targets from WestHills to Burbank all I could find were Buzzers, Stalkers, Shipwrecks, & Hooded Cobra Commanders with the #73161 on the back. I think these are from Wave 5 cause I haven't seen HCC on pegs since October. TRUs had inventory last night they had their yellow inventory tags, hopefully they started getting 25ths within the month. Walmarts look like the streets of NewYork from I Am Legend, no Joes basically no toys even the thousands of Star Wars figures (per store) are down to a minimum of 4-8 pegs. Oh well the first time in six weeks I come home empty handed.

Target Seal beach, westminster, huntington beach, costa mesa and santa ana all had the usual buzzer, beach, firefly, stalker, ship, lady jaye, red ninja and wave 1 comics. empty handed weekend....

huntington beach walmart had the plan sheets up and it had space for joes but it was dated 1/7.

Next time take a look at Shipwreck, you'll probably notice that he doesn't have the anchor on his belt buckle anymore. I saw one at Target in Moreno Valley today and decided not to pick him up beause of how long the lines were. I looked at my case of Wave 5 and the # was different... guess HCC and Shippy are a new production batch.

I was only able to check one Target this weekend.
Baldwin Park Target received a new shipment of Wave one Comic Packs. Still had 3 stalkers, 2 shipwrecks and a buzzer. I will definetly hit some more stores this week.

I have wave 5 but I am looking for 4 more Snowjobs for customs, and a couple more CGs.

I work loss prevention in the San Diego area for Wal-mart. I just picked up 3 more comic 2-packs and wave 4 that was just put out tonight (01/13/08). I believe they should be showing up in all Wal-Marts in this area either now or very soon.

BTW the new shipments of the comic 2-packs have a "Classic Comic Inside" sticker on the front now for those of you looking for every difference in the packaging as well.

OC has been dry. Target hasn't restocked on any new joes, but comic packs are shelf warmers. Walmarts started to do their reset, so hopefully we will be drowning in wave 5 soon. And anyone I promised to look out for,I havn't forgot about you :D

Wave 7 should be up soon, probably for the same price. They're cancellation policy sucks charging a 15% cancellation/restocking fee, so be sure you want them.

It came out to about $6.75 per figure including taxes. I figure a 30 mile drive isn't all that bad, considering i do that in my Glendora-Baldwin Park cycle each or every other night.

It is an option for the people who are close by or just fed up with not finding a full set in stores, but apparently they're (wave 5) hitting Targets and TRU's lately.
