my kid wants kota.
Is Kota that sweet robosapien like bronto thing or is it that huge stupid looking triceratops Ive seen lately?
Went to Target this morning to few things before wedding week gets full swing.
Jefferson Target. The Joe section has become virtually non-existant. A conquest has been sitting there for over a week now. They have one DVD pack, 1 wave 1 vehicle set, 2 single figures, a bunch of Comic packs and Combat heroes...
They still only have one peg...one peg....for single figures.
I asked a chick (who might have been a little slow) and she said nothing new until around Xmas.
F that.

FOUND WAVE 10 IN THE WILD!!!
Took the advice of Kohl's shoppers and visited my friendly neighborhood Kohl's (Victorville) , low & behold, there they were! Regular Wraith though, no variant, so I left him there if there are any hunters in my area...
PLUS
They had the TONS of the new CP wave (Scrap Iron set, Mainframe set & Hard Master set). Left all of them there... probably go back after payday...
Yes, everything is really overpriced ($9.99), but the toys are 15% off which takes them down to still overpriced ($8.49), but hey, it's wave 10!
And yes, I miss the So Cal thread too... now I have to go hunting to find this board instead of it being up front. Guess a lot of folks up and left.

SAN DIEGO
Nothing to report at MV Target and Morena TRU.

Santa Cruz / San Jose
I scored a shark at TRU in Santa Cruz. They had a Firebat that I left, I already have one... They still don't have the new Command 3 packs but lots of the original ones. Several Wave one Vehicles, some Python vipers, jet pack dukes...
Got bored so drove over to TRU on Blossom Hill, they had several Revision joes on the pegs, still nothing New.
Target at Oakridge had the $4.99 Sinlges and had some wave 10 guys, BBQ, Python Officers... Still Wave one vehicles...
Target on Hillsdale had nothing new but atleast a few joes on the shelf. Funny to note they had not tagged them at the $4.99 price yet...
Hope this Helps, Just to register my complaint about comebining the Norcal, Socal and inbetween threads... Not as helpful as it was before.... :(

Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach Redondo Torrance)
Just cleaned out 1/2 the joes at the Manhattan Beach target. Got doubles and extras to open now. Also went to Redondo Beach and Sepulveda Targets.
This is what's on the shelves... Flash, IG Destro, Bludd, Spirit, Bazooka, Crimson Guards, Cobra Viper, Hawk, Wild Bill, Road Block, Barbecue, Roadblock, Cobra Commander (Wave 1 foil + latest with mass device)... I think I'll pick up another hawk, roadblock and baroness next time I'm out. Only 1 target had "more in stock"... wave 10?

If this new layout doesn't work and/or is not beneficial to everyone involved, we'll re-created separate threads for North/Mid/South California. That said though, I hope everyone does try and give it a chance rather than just ignore it for a week.
It's been a week or so like you suggested, can we take a vote now and see if the Californians think this new merged thread is working or not?

Nice find LL!
And I agree with CrunchyNug: can we go back to separate sighting threads for CA now, please??

I agree. California is so big that we're really like two or three states. The fact that someone finds figures in San Francisco doesn't mean a damned thing to me here in So Cal.

The question is... Do we have a better chance of getting rapid transit between southern and northern california or getting this thread split. I think that's what was on voter's minds yesterday.

Yeah, with 55 Electoral votes, that should say something.
20 more than the nearest state.
Split the thread back up please, a lot of helpful people have left, and no offense, but the SoCal thread guys aren't helping me one bit, just pissing me off that nothing's shown up in NorCal while it has down there. :)
On a findings quote:
Nada, but I did pick up a carded Wave 2 (or whatever, it was so long ago it was released) Cobra Trooper that someone obviously returned, for $4.99 at Target. Which is odd, because that's the going price for it when it first showed up, if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, I was happy to find him, although it was a freak find and nothing new has been seen in my area for months.

Has anybody Been to Khols in the Bay area (San Jose, ?) and seen Joes?
I'm half tempted to go see but I'm in Santa Cruz... Long drive and lots to do...

I'm trying tonight after work. I even talked the woman into going, since she loves shopping and otherwise, I doubt I'd get time to go Joe-hunting on my own.
There's one in the Sunnyvale-ish area (maybe SJ?) that I know of, that's the one I'm going to check out to see if it's legit in the Bay Area. I'm betting it's wishful thinking since we have yet to get anything the SoCal guys have gotten, but it's worth a check.

Went to Santee Kohl's and sure enough, were 2x of the Wave 10 figs when I arrived. I only picked up 1x Wraith, Croc Master, and Para-Viper so are plenty left for anyone else.
They also had 2x of the new comic packs--Snake Eyes/Hard Master, Wild Bill/Main Frame, and another I can't remember.
Thanks for the Kohl's recommendation; you guys rokk.

what sucks is it's a lot harder to un-merge a thread once it's all been crammed together.

I'm fine with them starting new threads from scratch, if it comes to that.
No sense in tracking old posts anyways, unless you plan on creating a time machine to go back and snag em before someone else. :)

Yep, nothing at the Kohl's here. At least the one in Santa Clara off El Camino.
I did get a really nice wool jacket for half-price though at $99.99. Wooooo.
So that officially makes the SoCal thread's sightings completely useless, cause we AREN'T getting the same stuff up here.

Checked out KOHL'S in Petaluma. They have GI JOE's, The only ones I saw were SE ARTIC and a few 2 packs (October Guard, and Nemesis Enforcer).

Don't forget Kohl's $5 off in-store coupon for signing up their email list:
Email Sign Up (http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/registration/sale_alert_signup.jsp)
Use a few spam email accounts for multiple coupons. Should knock the price from $8.49 down to $3.49.

Wal-Mart; Porter Ranch: Found and bought two AWE Strikers w/ Leatherneck, two FANGs w/ CLAWs, and a Firebat. One set for me and another for my buddy who was at Khol's when I called him. Wave 10 revision also out saw a bunch of Mutt & Junkyards, pegs were over flowing. And according to BBTS/UPS tracker my Wave 11 & 12 should be here tomorrow.

Decent haul today:
Picked up the wave 6 comic packs at Kohl's Redlands for $10.49 apiece!! Figures look AWESOME. They were originally $12.99, but currently on sale for 20% off!!
They also had wave 10 single cards: picked up Croc Master, Mutt & Junkyard, and Wraith to keep MOC. They were originally $9.99, but currently on sale for 20% off, making them $7.99 - pricey, but better than nothing.

Well, you guys gave it a shot. Some feel that looking through posts was too much, whereas others sent me messages saying they didn't mind at all. Either way, I'm locking this thread & creating 3 new ones: North/Central/Southern California.
For those that were positive about the experiment...thanks!
