Custom Cobra Rattler Sneak Peek

Hey Guys

I got really inspired by Whitewolf at TNI with his custom Corba Rattler using TRU Elite Operations A-10A Thunderbolt II. So here is my attempt except I wanted a gunner on mine. Right now my biggest challenge is the canopy for the gunner....not sure what I will use. Hopfully I will have it done a few weeks.

Still in “work in progress” my very own Cobra Rattler. Never had one and always wanted one. It is what it is, my first custom vehicle. Still working out the Canopy and a few touch ups such as paint and applying the stickers. Also, still need to paint the missiles. This is my best attempt to create the original Cobra Rattler using the generic A-10 available at TRS. My attempt is not to make it identical to the original but get as close as possible yet maintaining a cool look and added canopy. There is a good chance I’ll get it done today assuming I don’t screw it up…..lol

nooooo, dude those are waaaaaay too big... those guns holy shizz man, thats a hiss turret ...on an aircraft, rethink this please, atleast keep the turret but reduce the guns, something, yikes.

I agree, I would have the turret sit more down in the airplane and change out the gun.

hmmm...I can still change it...but it may take a while to find a alternative. Got any recommendations? I always felt the original guns where too small. Not enough to take down a enemy jet.

So far it looks really great but I got to agree keep the gun but make them smaller about (50 cal size)or have you considered making the a RC unit just an idea.

Bernit69, you and I had the same idea. I thought about doing the hiss turrent as well. You'll have to cut bottom off of the turrent cockpit sit low in the plane also it helps the gunner to stand lower. Also I would recommend trimming the gun barrels down by an inch. Are you planning to make a VTOL as well? I'm trying to think of a way to get the engines to attach to the wings.

I don't think I will make it VTOL...that may be tough. I don't think I would be able to cut the wings perfectly. But if I did I would imagine I would need to use a square metal rod that would have to go through the plane. Then figure how to lock it place to prevent it from being to loose or wobbly. But that would look awesome who ever can do it.

I'll play around with the cannons since that would be easy to replace now or later. But the turret is a must as I don't have too many options.

Gun size looks fine. We're talking about a plane that's built around a GAU-8 Avenger gatling gun. You don't put pea shooters on a plane like that. I like it. Looks damn cool, like that.

I'd be more interested enclosing that turret, or anybody riding back there isn't going to have a face left. Plus, Destro looks like he's one steep dive away from getting sucked into the engines.

Maybe try using the rear turret and canopy of the BUGG.

If you hadn't already cut the hole in the plane for the H.I.S.S. turret, I'd say use the turret from the red H.I.S.S. tank from 2.5 inch Sigma6 line.
