What were your favorite NES games? I loved the first Mario game, Mario 3, a Nightmare on Elm Street and the 1989 Batman game.

Tecmo Superbowl, Punch Out, Contra's and Castlevania's come to mind right away. I had well over 100 NES games and they are still some of the best games ever.

Superbowl is the one I actually had, but my one buddy would bring over his original. I liked that one cause you could use Tony Dorsett even though he was on the Broncos (even though the Steelers werent in that one.)

Tecmo Superbowl, Punch Out...
I will always remember, I forget what year it was, but it was New Year's Eve and I had just bought Mike Tyson's Punch Out for the NES and during our annual party there was the biggest rain/flooding in our state and it closed down the highways, so like our entire extended family and cousins and uncles and stuff all had to sleep over. LOL.

So me and my cousins played Mike Tyson's Punch Out ALL NIGHT... we made it all the way to Super Macho Man... man each of us trying to figure out the patters of each fighter was awesomely fun.

Paperboy, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior...
I played and finished Dragon Warrior I-IV... now that I look back... I wonder why? LOL.

T&C Surf Designs was like one of the worst games ever... but I played the hell out of it... that and Double Dribble. LOL.

I loved Double Dribble... I remember figuring out the trick to like making 90% of your 3 pointers; you had to like shoot from the top of the screen while jumping out of bounds or something like that. Great game.

The best, however, is pretty non-mainstream................... Dusty Diamond's All Star Softball. I couldn't get enough of this game. I rented it EVERY weekend and stayed up all night playing it. Ahh...those were the good old days

I thought I might revive this thread and post some favorites of my own. I always enjoyed the early Mega Man games. I was a fan of Castlevania and Super Mario 2 and 3. I also enjoyed Metroid and Kid Icarus even though I never got very far in either game... Luckily for me my NES still works and I use it every so often when I get nostalgic. Does anyone else have their NES still?

Mario Bros Any of the Supers or just plain 82 one.
