Decided to make some slight improvements on some key Joe players. I liked the Hawk from the comic pack, but not the head or the gloves so a couple minutes with a Dremel, an X-acto, and some spare Duke hands gave me this.

Speaking of Duke, decided to go Sunbow on him since he had more character there than the Marvel run. Also decided that I was sick of the Duke arms, so I did them the way they would be if Chinese factories got things right.

Another post for the image limit, I also made a couple mods to my Wave 5 Snake Eyes. The 97 Commando Team is a sentimental favorite of mine, and the first time I got to have a V1 Snake Eyes, so I gave mine a quick repaint to fit that. Also, Timber needed to look more like a wolf and less like a toy so he got painted too.

I"ve debated on getting that head for my hawk. don't like the one that he has now, but saw he had transformer parts that i needed, so spent all my money on that, LOL.

very nice work though.

dood great job on the timber I would so buy that...

I like Duke Also (well the arms and body)

but seriously you need do something with that head

that DUKE paint job is all wrong

it makes him look like steve earhardt

I love timber and the detail is cool

I am not sure if it was you who painted the duke head or hasbro...

whoever did... needs to make him look likes STEVE :D

Cut them at the sleeve with an exacto, superglued and puttied the Hasbro joint, repainted, then drilled a hole in both sleeve and forearm and created a new swivel joint.

The timber is perfect. Duke's arms are the way they should have been in the first place. But I do see what Amberbratt is saying about the Duke head. I don't think it is the paint, but I think his hair should be a little more yellow. I think it is more that his head looks so big. But it isn't the head that is off size its the neck. I think if you take a little more off the inside so it fits down a little lower then it would be spot on.

99 cent craft paints from Wal-Mart. Apple Barrel, Ceramcoat, Folk Art...that sort of thing.

The neck isn't as long in person, it's mostly in the angle of the photos.
