Mine stands fine. Make sure you've freed up the ankles. They seem to universally be stiff out of the package.

I just picked mine up today, out of morbid curiosity, and because wal-mart doesn't seem interested in restocking the newer waves, anymore. He's not nearly as bad aas everybody makes him out to be. He's actually pretty cool.

someone gave me a tip about this...turn his feet sideways, bend them up then turn them back and all should be good...the flap in the front is the problem, and turning them sideways puts it in its place

i thought the same thing until i realized (much later than i should have) that the ankle joints are just covered by their pantlegs/boots/whatever. like others have mentioned, just give it a firm bend upwards and they stand as well as any other figure.
