25th Anniversary Comic 2-Pack - Destro/Corporal Breaker - Mispackaged/Varient?

Here is an open question for anyone with any information ...

What is this? (Look at the 2 attachments!)

It is packaged in the 25th Anniversary box, the information on the back doesn't match what is packaged, as well as the characters displayed on the front don't match the toys inside. The comic and toys mimic the original GI Joe figures more than they do the new 25th Anniversary ones. The figures are put together with screws and the split torso implies these figures have the rubber band inside instead of the pivot joint. The figures don't quite fit the clamshell packaging, and there are weapons/accessories missing from there spots. Destro is all in black with red trim, instead of the 25th Anniversary edition that is more bluish teal. Corporal Breaker should be the other character in this two pack, but instead it holds an Asian looking character in camo, safari type hat, and oversized pistol. The comic cover is more of the older art not the new re-done covers. The comic matches the characters more than the packaging matches them.

Any info is appreciated.

Looks like someone purchased the comic pack and some Joes from a few years back and then proceeded to take out the comic pack figures and put the others in their place. I have seen a couple sickening examples in my area of some POS taking one figure out and placing the filecards in front of the other spot and returning them to the store.

You got jaked. Someone took the figures and replaced them with the old school ones. I can tell from the pictures that the pack was already opened. Sorry to say but take it back to where and who ever you got it from. Thats not the real deal

That is what we call the old switch a roo. Someone removed the figs they wanted and replaced them with old figures. They then took it back to the store and got their money back. If you bought it take it back.

Nope, just a packaging that someone returned to the store after taking the 25th figures and comic, replacing them with something else. It's been happening all over the place. You can tell in your 1st picture that there is a tear around the plastic. Those comic packs are only held by a small piece of tape that can easily be pulled off.. I'd try and return it back and get your money back, unless you want to keep those figures.

Some scumbag bought it, took the figures and replaced them with older, less desirable figures and returned it. A dispicable practice, but it happens fairly often. I hope you didn't buy it.

Somebody switched them out. I once saw a Cobra 25th boxed set with a BOBA FETT figure from 1995 in place of another character! It's ridiculous...

Thanks for the info. It seemed to good to be true. After looking the package over more and comparing it to other 2-Pack packages I can see the differences in the size/color of the tape and the fact that stuff doesn't fit just right. It is sad people do this. Thanks for everything!

So I guess I don't have the million dollar varient? :(

well these are october guard. you should trade them.im sure some people will eat this up. this pack is just from last year.i think it is bad ass that you got a comic that most people wont get
