Hmmm.........

Usually when a show gets a timeslot/day move like that, it does signal the end. But are they trying to increase viewership? I guess we'll just hafta wait and see.......

hmmm? Is this a good thing? The ratings have been up & down. Will this help?

If the hub put in a solid Saturday morning cartoon lineup (Like we had as a kid) it would be a good thing. As this is where their core shows need to be played/replayed.

Because this is on the PM, I consider it a very bad time slot.
Unless the replay the episode 10x a week, then it may not matter. Both Friday & Saturday are slow TV periods as people (including families) are generally out somewhere. Sunday night people are usually home so that is considered a better timeslot.

At this point it doesn't matter.

The show is going on hiatus with an almost-year to year+ gap between when the last first season episode hits and the next season begins, if it even returns.

Any new fans built up due to the time change will leave before the show returns.

It will basically be starting over when/if it returns. Season one would undoubtedly be played in it's entirety before new episodes would start.

The ONLY benefit would be if the new episodes/timeslot get higher ratings as it would help influence the return after the movie has come and gone.

Never understood why the hub doesnt show prime or renegades Saturday mornings. Strange.

Saturday mornings are not as important for cartoons as they used to be.

I'll use my friends 10 year old as an example. Know what he's doing on saturday mornings? He's not watching cartoons. He's at soccer practice or games. If not soccer, then it's baseball.

The later timeslots make more sense because kids are more likely to be home.

But 7:30 on a saturday is an extremely odd time.

The 4:00ish on Friday made more sense. Kids are home after school waiting for mom/dad to get home to take them to practice which was usually after 5ish.

But even on a Saturday there might be people who accidentally witness the piece of garbage that they created. I think the only choice we have is to destroy the original prints so that others don't spend there time trying to claw their eyes out due to this amateurish abomination.

Well, somebody has to be intelligent and honest. I'm glad I could be such a good role model in your life. Perhaps i'll inspire you to do something with your life that has meaning.

Cheers, Buddy.

this is true usually, but since tf prime was greenlight for a season 2 and it's also moving to saturdays i think the hub is trying to capture the sat night crowd for a ratings boost.

They re aired Fridays show on Saturday afternoons but not in the morning from all the times I Checked. I'm sure these two shows will still get even bigger ratings not that it matters for renegades. God it still pisses me off so much!!

Why do the Nielsen ratings still matter or do networks have a way of monitoring DVR recordings and downloads?

I had gotten used to watching these on Fridays. Guess I''ll have to record them since I usually work on the weekends and will see them when I get home now.

Friday, Saturday, whatever. It's these damn three week breaks that are frustrating. Especially after that description of the clip for Castle Destro at JoeCon. I really want to see that clip.

Castle destro episode was fantastic. Tons of action and the interactions between baroness and destro are perfect. Also the joe team really came together and you really see them as a joe team. You'll know what i mean after you see it. Great episode.

Whoa wait, did you see the whole episode at JoeCon, or just a clip? I got the impression it was just a clip (like the Bros of Light one at TF).

See, it's things like this that make me wish I had the power to speed time up. I would not use that power wisely!

But I am looking forward to this to an absurd degree.

Why do the Nielsen ratings still matter or do networks have a way of monitoring DVR recordings and downloads?

DVR (& some cable boxes) can track ratings, these are factored into Nielsen.

TV stations base their rates on expected viewership. Nielsen acts as a 3rd party to verify TV stations are getting the viewership they claim.

Well, all I can say is they better not pull the plug completely! Hopefully they won't cancel the figures and show their full support of the show. Personally, I think it's an awesome show and would continue watching it at whatever timeslot they put it in.

I don't understand time slots, other than edger stuff thens to be put on at 10PM in network television and people don't tend to watch TV in the summer. I personally have never watched a tv show because it followed something I liked, obviously lots of people do because networks wouldn't schedule new shows behind already established ones if people didn't watch.

I say that to say this. Even with my limited knowledge of t.v. viewing habits and marketing I that if you want a t.v. to succeed you don't it on Saturday afternoon at 4PM, especially if you goal if is to get the 8-13 year old boy demographic to watch. This scheduling decision makes about as make sense as when I as at work one Sunday afternoon, being we had a t.v. in the break room I turned on the t.v. and the gospel music awards were on. It left me thinking, doesn't the people who scheduled this realized their target demo is at church right now.

Here's a suggestion to Hasbro. Hey Hasbro, as a loyal fan the G.I. Joe brand for nearly thirty years, I'm noticing that you're having problems with moving the brand forward, especially concerning animation. My suggestion is that you contact Bruce Timm. Mr. Timm is the creative force behind Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Superman, and Justice League. Give Mr. Timm all 163 issues of G.I. JOE A Real American Hero and have Mr. Rimm powwow with Larry Hama for about a week. Then let Mr. Timm right his script and produce the show. I'm pretty sure you'll be pretty satisfied with the finished product. Thank you.

Well what else were they going to do with the panel? It's not like there was much to talk about. We all knew it was going on hiatus and they couldn't talk about the future because they don't know.

Lucky the panel wasn't canceled completely.

Correct. He worked with Sunbow.

How were they competing with Clone Wars?

Clone Wars is at 9 on Fridays. Renegades was at 4:30 (or around there) on Fridays.

If the show does end after season 1, I at least hope they don't leave it completely open like Wolverine and the X-Men. All I can say though Hasbro better not cancel my Ren Scarlett, Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander or there will be Hell to pay. I even have my pitchfork and torch ready just in case.
