This was shown at Toy Fair this year, but I haven't heard anything about it since. Anyone know any info?

I hope it was just a dream...;)

I hate those tanks!

I think there was some thought of this being the 25th HISS, but they decided to do the original.

I think this looks great all black, but a cannon would be better...

That one was a lot more awesome than what we ended up with. I hate fake tank treads.

I don't know, I kinda like that look. Although I would want a more FLAT Black with little to no shine at all.

I like the surface to air missiles on top, but there would have to be twin 50 Cals on bottom and it would be perfect.

Just my opinion though.

The one in the picture you linked looked like the one they're/they've released, until I looked closer. Hinged side panels (to put figures in? do the Target HISS tanks have that? I dunno, I don't have any =/), a different gun and a larger dome for the cockpit, make subtle differences that warrant Hasbro perhaps releasing it? Not really sure, but it could just have been a preliminary design of the one we -are- getting, though.

It's a HISS v10 released in 2005 as a TRU exclusive, according to YOJOE.com. I wasn't collecting at the time, but I do recall seeing it on the shelf. The canopy is not painted, and it looks mocked up to resemble the Target exclusive. The treads on the original are fixed.

I'm telling you if they do this in all black with a real turret I am all over it.

I believe in one of the Q&As Hasbro stated that this was the DTC Hiss used only as a mock-up to show retailers at Toy Fair, but that the actual production piece was to be the modified vintage mold, which we have since seen to be the one coming out.

I'm curious to what happens to that one mock up piece shown at Toy Fair I'm sure someone has to own it

Oh man a troop transporting HISS, awsome. If it had original style cannons..and better yet if it was motorized I'd buy some.

I thought that was just a mock-up to be honest.
EDIT: Ah, it was apparently. I posted this before readng page two of the thread.

the only problem is, none of the troopers will sit anywhere. unless there is room to stand, we need to wait for fixed troopers.
