I sat here looking at the custom Shockwave I made, then looked at the leftover Beachhead backpack I have laying around. Beachhead's backpack had the removable crossbow, unlike the original backpack's molded-on crossbow. That got me to thinking:

We have already seen the Hasbro-made custom Alley Viper. For those who missed it, here's a pic:

The original Alley Viper had a backpack with a molded-on grappling hook rifle. Well, what if Hasbro made that grappling hook rifle REMOVABLE, like Beachhead's crossbow? I know I can't be the only one who wished they could have played with the grappling hook rifle when they were a kid... hell, even NOW I wish I could! :D

As for a head and face shield, Alyosha already has that covered:

Without actually breaking out my original Alley Viper to check, I am assuming that with all the Joes out now, we already have enough good bodyparts to make the body.

Just a couple of random thoughts on my part, but now I'm ready for Hasbro to make him... unless I get to him first!

Just had another thought... what if Hasbro could make it a spring loaded rifle, so that the grappling hook would actually FIRE?!? Of course, they'd have to attach a rope to it to keep up with it.

I made something like it a long time ago for v2 Alley Viper's rocket launcher. It was a little too big to attach to a backpack, but with today's advances in toymaking, I'm sure Hasbro could pull it off. When I find it, I'll post some pics of what I made.
