I need to tint a piece of clear plastic to a med blue. All I've been able to find is a black tint. Does anyone know of a company that makes a blue tint?

I recommend RIT dye. Boil a cup of water in the microwave with a little blue dye in it, and dip it until it's the shade you want. I did the same thing with bbi clear goggles and red dye. Of course it depends on the size of the plastic you're tinting.

Well, I kind of would like to not take apart my helicopter and snap all the clear pieces out if possible. The item I'm changing is still pretty expensive and rare to find on it's own.

You could also try the Citidel inks. That could work. Just put it on and rub it off.

Mixing paint an clear coat works well to create colored clear paints, but getting an even application without an airbrush could be tricky.

Tamiya makes clear blue.
