#21 is the issue I break out and admire the most. I'm thinking of turning it into a poster for my office. Cover to Cover with no ads on one 27x40 sheet.. cool? maybe.

Favourite? How European or Canadian! :D

My fav is issue #11. Debuts of Snow Job, Doc, Wild Bill, Gung Ho and the teased debut of Destro. I still remember the Marvel commercial on this one.

I really like "Tanks for the Memories," (#5) along with most of the other early, Hama stuff. Though I liked the later characters more, those early issues were the funniest, freshest, and best overall, in my opinion.

Yeah, that was a really cool one, I remember enjoying that one when I was kid when it came out. I thought Snow Job and his snow mobile were the coolest! :)

For me, like a lot of others it's got to be #21 -

I'm actually in the market for one of those cold cast sculptures of SE from the cover of #21 if anyone has one or knows of one for good price. So far all the ones I have seen are out of my price range. :(

Thanks -

Eric

That would be pretty cool, let us know how it turns out. I might be interested in buying one off you if it comes out nice.

The Afghsanistan story with the Oktober Guard from G.I. Joe Yearbook #2. Mostly because Michael Golden did the artwork. But it was a great story by itself, and I loved that the O.G. was involved. The full page pic where Cobra was pursuing the train, with the Trubble Bubbles flying around was awesome.

Anything with Dr.Venom was good. Probably the one where Venom, Quinn and SE get trapped in a bunker together.

I have to agree with the silent issue. It is hard enough to grab someone's attention and truly tell a great story, but it especially hard to do it without words.

Wow! This is like having to pick a fav. movie or band for me!

The first one that always comes to mind is issue # 61.

The beginning of this issue with stalker, snow-job, outback and quick-kick sitting in the basement of a government building getting briefed on a black-op rescue mission by Hawk is still one of the single coolest scenes ever in a comic book! Absolute bad-asses!!
Anyone out there who isn't familiar with this issue should pick it up immediately! Great, great read

A close second for me would be Issue # 15. I wore out the paper on that one!

I'm love #25, but I'm also a big fan of the invasion of Springfield #50, the Cobra civil war, and issue #109 is so brutal it's almost tough to read

It has to be issue 50.

My favorites are #2 and #3. I like the ending of #2 with the weasel skull necklace and #3 where the joes are running around the PIT trying to keep those little Cobra robots from reaching the surface. And all the while there's a reception going on above.

Issue #34, "Shakedown!" (http://www.yojoe.com/comics/joe/joe34.shtml)
Loved seeing the Rattler and the Skystriker dueling.

Oh yeah, that was great, too. I'll say that issue and #21 are my second favorites.

That became the favorite of my comic action figure displays.

I really like the Borovia story, too. Colonel Dovchenko from the Indiana Jones line with the Baroness's glasses put on him makes a serviceable Colonel Ratnikov, as the Russian soldiers make good Borovian soldiers...
