There was a thread on this before, but I recently discovered some nifty bait boxes with adjustable slots in Wal-mart. I can fit 12 figures in nicely (and double up on the re-painted CCs with no problem). Before that I had them stuffed in a box and had a heck of a time tracking what I had and where it was.

I want my Joes out, available, & on display. But there's so many, I need to do something that takes up minimal space. Therefore, I use hotwheels over-the-door displays. I have a drop ceiling & hang them from the ceiling frame. I also use them for my Star Wars. For Transformers, I use over-the-door shoe storage. Vehicles go on bookshelves.

Maybe I post a pic later.

I was just thinking that too, can't seem to find it though. No matter, threads like this are great because I'm always game for picking up new storage ideas!

I still store each figure in individual clamshell cases. Cheap & effective. :D

I seen these clear tackle boxes at target a long time ago, maybe last year when i was still working there. it was a clear box, sort of like a tackle box but for sowing needles and threads. yes they do exist! I was thinkin about using that for my joes when i saw them but passed, a shoe box works

Ive got mine on a really really long shelf, but I would just throw em in a nice box and ziplock the accesories if I had too. Or a a smaller box inside so the weapons dont get bent.

They're in the HotWheels section & each has 115 pockets.

Cost about $13 each.

I will have to buy one of those Hot Wheels wall displays because I want to have a bit of more space in my wood furniture shelves to display other action figures and such. Lack of space is always a problem when you are an action figure collector.

Those Hotwheels displays are cool, but I couldn't stand to see the logo on my Joes. I'd have to print up some GI Joe sticker to cover it up. That might also be an excellent place to store Clonetroopers.

Heh, as a matter of fact, it is. That's what's in the one on the left (plus in a fourth not pictured).

I'll look into replacing the Hot Wheels logo, but it'll mean completely obscuring the pocket. Maybe I'll mount the logos from the five-pack key sets.
