You really want to avoid that sort of Testors... they can fail to dry properly on some plastics. Acrylic is where it's at. You can get some good and cheap acrlyics at Wal-Mart or hobby stores.

Check out this link (http://wiki.joecustoms.com/wiki/Customizing_Guide) for some useful tips and tricks.

jin is right on the money. Model Masters acrylics is the best way to go. they have a staggering assortment of colors and choices and dry really well. also make sure to use an acrylic sealer too. IT helps with paint chipping. Jin could probably get more in depth with joint dremeling and what not. :> hey jin you ever hit up riverside hobies in sac? they got a good selection of the fantasy colors out there. its up on folsom and 52nd in sac.

I use the Citadel Paints from Games Workshop and find they adhere very well to plastics.

I have yet to try the Testors Model Master Acrylics, but probably will in time.

I use Tamiya Acrylics and Tamiya Spray paints. The spray paints work incredible on joints. They dont rub off if the coat isnt too thick.

Those are quality paints. And they have a staggering amount of special military colors.

Another thing to consider is dying the figure if your going from light to dark. That helps to compensate for paint chipping.

I use the Testors regular and Model Master, both acrylics. It works well, for the most part. But for some reason, I seem to be having random adhesion problems with it, on Green Stuff.

Yep, Testors Model Masters acrylic paints were recommended to me by THE MAN who just won the custom contest with his OUTSTANDING Stalker!

I just used the same paints for my custom job, and couldn't be happier. As soon as I get my Duke Renegade head, look out world...a one-of-a-kind Snake Eyes will be revealed!!! Hint: issue #104. ;)

I love Tamiya Acrylics! They are great, and as mentioned earlier they have a lot of very accurate modern military colors.

Testors Model Master acrylics are good for the unique colors used on cars and such, but i find them to be very thin, and require multiple coats on just about any color of plastic.
