Renegades death watch

So in the very first episode one character died setting a tone that said anything could happen. 13 episodes later and no one else has died or been injured aside from a few Cobras getting scarred. Do you think a character will actually die again or was that something of a one time thing?

I sorta feel this way. Mind you, I don't have any strong feelings about Ripcord although I do like the ARAH version better, but I sorta see the Ripcord treatment in Renegades like the Jar Jar treatment in Attack of the Clones -- Lucas knew that the character was largely disliked in the first movie, so in the 2nd movie he had Panda Amidala shoosh him. I remember the crowd cheering in the theater when that happened.

I'd love to see something like that, And I'd like the one that is apparently "killed" to be none other than Snake Eyes. It doesn't necessarily have to happen during the season finale, but it would probably have the most impact then. And if it doesn't happen during the finale, then SE should remain apparently dead and missing for at least 3 or 4 episodes.

Oh, and what about Firefly? Didn't he get blown up in that helicopter explosion? Off screen? How more certain could we possibly be about a death.....

But really, I think the most we would see this season would maybe be the death of a minor character, someone like Scrap Iron perhaps, or one of the "cameo" or Future Joes in the finale (because I think there's a good possibility that many of those cameo Joes will show up again for the finale, for the big fight).

I think Ripcord dying was a gift to the watchers and non Roc Ripcord fans. I doubt that any other main characters will die in the first season...it's just not necessary.

I've been thinking something along these lines as well....after his 'death' the Bio-Vipers seemed to be slightly more combat aware they even used weapons.

I'm not 100% convinced he's dead...maybe absorbed by the Bio-Viper goop.

Not only did he get 'sploded, there was also a surviving Bio-Viper, too. I think even if he didn't get offed by the explosion, the gigantic, brainless, gelatinous monster would've finished him.

I really hope they leave him dead. if they don't then that's messed up. But lets face it Bucky, Tim Drake Robin, Even our own Cobra Commander from Marvel came back and uh now that I think about it I believe Storm Shadow took a bullet to the forehead and after stopped over at 7-11 for a Slurpee in Marvel as well. there is no accountability in these stories ever anyway.

speaking of Gen Hawk, i'm kinda of suprised he's not in more episodes. I don't think they'll kill of anymore major characters, maybe minors, but they have a track record so far of maiming the bad guys (Major Bluud, Scrap Iron) instead of killing them (except for the scientist being eaten as snake food). This first season seems to really be establishing bringing in the villians within Cobra: Destro, Storm Shadow, Zartan, etc... I wouldn't be suprised if Cobra has a major plan of attack against the Joes using all their major agents towards the last 2 episodes of the season. Would be interesting to see...

^Yeah Woo, I'm thinking that by the finale, the Joes will be completely cornered and Cobra will launch an all out attack on them. Maybe Breaker will get the word out that the Joes desperately need help, and the cameo Joes like Steeler will rally to their aid. But I think what will ultimately save the Joes is when Flint's team joins them, right when it seems that Cobra is about to wipe the Joes out.

Anyway, I'd like to see something like that. But I think the finale is gonna kick ass, whatever happens.

But anyway, since the writers have stated that they already have a few years worth of the storyline planned out, and clearly intend for the series to go for the long haul, I doubt they would want to deprive themselves of the use of important and popular characters too early.

Also, the writers of future series may want to pick up where the Renegades series leaves off, to continue with the continuity that Renegades sets up. And it would kinda suck for them if Destro or SE or the Baroness had been killed in Renegades, because I'm sure they would have wanted to use those characters in their own series.

He is gonna do a Morph from the X-men cartoon and return as a villian. Then he will have a change of heart and switch sides just in time to turn the tide.

I don't think anyone will be killed this season. I'm not even sure that we have had a death. I think that our dearly departed friend will be back, although I still think he will be mutated or disfigured in some way.
