Upon hearing of Cobra holding Doc captive and Cobra Commander's subsequent taunting of the Joes without a ransom or demand, General Hawk and General Colton suspect a Cobra trap.
All of GI Joe are aware of Doc's untimely demise at the hands of a Saw Viper years ago. However, Agent Faces has sent word that Doc has been spotted under guard in a Cobra base. Is he a clone, a synthoid or the real deal?
G.I. Joe has planned a two-fold assault on the Cobra stronghold.
"Operation: Rescue Doc":
A full frontal assault led by Duke and comprised of team members:
Snake-Eyes
Cross Hair
Barrel Roll
Glenda
Shipwreck
Mayday
Falcon
The purpose of this operation is to distract Cobra from Phase 2:
"Operation: Turnabout"
A covert infiltration of the Cobra forces is already in place. After the Cobra infiltration of G.I. Joe, codenamed "Phoenix Guard", G.I. Joe assembled the Steel Brigade squadron, led by Steel Brigade Commander Agent Faces. A plan was put into effect known only to General Colton and General Hawk. The plan involved an elite Cobra Unit codenamed: "Cobra Hunters". Unknown to Cobra however was that the Cobra Hunters were assembled by Agent Faces and is comprised of himself and four Steel Brigade operatives.
Steel Brigade identities are guarded secrets known only to Generals Hawk and Colton.
