CODE NAME: NINJA B.A.T. (BATTLE ATTACK TROOPER)
Specialty: Extreme combat
Under the command of COBRA ninja STORM SHADOW, NINJA B.A.T. troopers are highly advanced android units programmed for martial arts combat. Their built-in weaponry is designed to capture, disable or destroy their targets and includes knives, swords, pistols and retractor claws. NINJA B.A.T. forces are often used to attack SIGMA 6 forces with an unrelenting onslaught of powerful fighters who cannot be reasoned with and are difficult to stop. They are especially dangerous because their arms can extend to an abnormal length, allowing them to reach SIGMA 6 teams who believed they were at a safe distance from the evil androids. Once caught in those deadly claws, it is almost impossible to escape.
EQUIPMENT PORTFOLIO
* Quick-deploy blades: retractable, quad-alloy blades concealed in botharms.
* Grapple arm: extendable/retractable left arm with capture claw.
* Robotic sword: emits kinetic energy to disable enemies with a powerful charge.
* Removable chest plate: to access central processor circuitry.
First impressions: When you first walk up to G.I. Joe Sigma 6 at your local Toy spot, the Ninja B.A.T. is not one of those figures that sticks out of the crowd. The fact that the chest plate is not attached and packaged to the side hurts its appeal. The back of the card does not help show how fun the Ninja B.A.T. is once you open him up. The one nice point about this package is the nice Box Art die cut of the figure on the front of the package and the red card stock with Cobra Symbol.
Appearance: The Ninja B.A.T. is mostly a Solid Grey with Black at points of articulation. When the chest plate is exposed its a Solid Brass with some Purple above the gears. This figure looks really cool with a well streamlined style. Its only downfall is when you take the chest plate off to expose what should be central processor circuitry, but looks more like gears to me. Once you start placing weapons in the hands of the B.A.T. you will see for yourself just how fun this figure is. All the weapons look great in the hands of the diesel Ninja B.A.T.
Articulation: Like all G.I. Joe Sigma 6 figures points of articulation are not a problem for this well desgined figure. In addition to the usual goodies like a turning head, he has an incredible amount of arm and leg articulation and with large feet, you have a pretty wide range of possible poses to play around with. The grapple Extendable/Retractable left arm with Capture Claw works really well and adds so much extra articulation to the figure. Without the Grapple Arm you would not be able to pose the weapons nearly as cool if they used the standard arm.
Weapons and Gimmicks: The Ninja B.A.T. comes with a ton of cool built in Weapons as well as a nice Rifle and Sword set. The retractable blades in his arms not only look great but work well with the figure. The Sword and Rifle look great, but the real stand out is the grapple Extendable/Retractable left arm with Capture Claw. The Gimmick works great and is fun to mess around with.
Overall: This is a great figure that features a lot of cool weapons and articulation. It is a must own figure and looks outstanding as a Army Builder for the Sigma 6 line. The only problem I really have with the figure is the chest plate. I would have rather had an extra weapon. But with that said Hasbro did a really good job with the Ninja B.A.T. and gets a 10 out of 10 in my book.
