I don't know how a fan of a para-military operation like GI Joe can prefer the heroes to look like an uber cheesy disco band rather than actual Special Ops troops with state-of-the-art gear and weapons.
GI Joe doesn't exist to please the 30 somethings (myself included) that lived and died by every afternoon episode from 1985. It exists as an entity to stimulate the imaginations of people of all ages. And in order to do that, it needs to remain relevant and up to date in its look and its characterizations.
I'm sorry haters, but GI Joe is not YOURS. I implore all of you to grow up and embrace the awesomeness of this generation's incarnation of Joe. Because by any reasonable comparison, it is far superior to the crappy crap we grew up with.
lol, I love the "holier than thou"/"time to grow up" answer these threads inevitably get at some point. So ridiculous.
Just state your preference and move on, please.
