In an Army infantry unit, all infantrymen are trained in the basic use of light anti-tank weapons. It used to be back in the day that "anti-armor infantryman" and "infantry machine gunner" were separate MOSs. Now, those specialties have been absorbed into the "infantryman" MOS.
In the contemporary Stryker Brigade light infantry company (which is the standard infatry organization model these days), every rifle squad has at least one soldier carrying a light anti-tank weapon (an M72 or M136 or even a Javelin missile), thus obviating the need for a dedicated anti-armor section to travel with the rilfe platoon.
Ranger doctrine is different. Ranger companies have a dedicated weapons platoon where all the anti-armor and mortar assets are, thus freeing up the rifle platoons and allowing them to be more mobile. The Ranger weapons platoon is either used as a stand-alone unit, or its elements can be redistributed and attached to the rifle platoons as necessary.
