I think its a little different with the X-Men only because Muntants were born special and went to Xaiviers to train, the Joes were already trained, and in the end the comic was just an add to sell the toys(albeit an excelent one). I do agree with you tho, I hated seeing a charcter debut and then forgotten about 3 issues later.
