That's along way to go by parachute, wonder where they'll land.
You're right about not knowing where they'll land, but they have at least five minutes to regain consciousness of they were ko'ed and deploy their chutes.

Warren Ellis does his research people. If those were named Joes, there might be a reason he chose 20 miles in the air with a balloon.
