It's no more name calling that you saying "I have problems" I'd imagine. TOYLINE sales are primarily measured against HOLIDAY sales. A late release date might actually HELP in that case, as the movie will be more fresh in the minds of parents and children by the time the Christmas shopping season rolls around, particularly if the DVD turnaround time is kept fairly short.
You did not mention Star Trek specifically, no, but where in the Summer schedule could they release G.I. Joe that would not be potentially cutting into the box office of either Trek or Transformers? That's the basic point you seem unable to grasp.

Trek is significant this summer because it's already generating buzz as a major release. People are excited about it. If you can't see that, you're just not paying attention. "Reboots" have done fairly well lately, in case you hadn't noticed. Plus it comes with the backing of a fairly well-liked director, and (once again) a slick marketing campaign.
In fact, trying to compare Indiana Jones 4 to this situation only proves you're desperately grasping at straws. At last count, it had made over $300 million in domestic box-office, and over three-quarters of a BILLION dollars in worldwide box-office. A WILDLY successful movie by any stretch of the imagination, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks in regards to its' quality. If G.I. Joe made those kinds of numbers, it'll have Hasbro and Paramounts execs fainting with joy. Box office success is not linked to quality or critical reception. Don't try to change the argument into something it's not.
Besides, I know plenty of people that LOVED Indy 4. I'm not one of them, but you know who they are? Regular, average people that aren't "huge fans" of Indiana Jones. You know...the kind of people that every studio owner wants to go see their movies because they're a far larger audience than the "hardcore fanbase."
I don't care one way or another about you personally. I simply have no hesitation when it comes to widening the holes you've dug in your own arguments. You can play the "poor persecuted me" card all you like. It doesn't make your statements any less flawed or lacking in common sense and logic.
