In light of the new Lead Law it also leaves retailers open to a world of legal problems. Should a lead "contaminated" product make it to the consumer because the store did NOT have an adequate return policy...you draw the picture.
If you have pix of repacks on the shelves please post them here, we need examples for retailers.
I agree 100% that repacking a figure and returning it is wrong. It simply goes against the rules of social etiquette.
But I have to admit that there is a spot of sympathy for why some people do this. There's no legitimate reason for Hasbro, or it's partners in retail, to offer a 40 dollar alternative to getting the 7 dollar figure everyone wants when it's packed into a DVD set where no one wants 95% of the product offered. I get mine thought the net, via shipping, so I can't take them back to a box store. But I can't deny that I wouldn'tbe tempted to hand the screwing over right back to the retailers for offering such an absurd alternative to being given a viable alternative.
