Aside from the "born to fly," "fly-boy," and "takes the cake" cliches, not to mention the overuse of exclamation points, I'm not even sure what a double-looped nose dive is. Did the writer mean a split S? And how can a nose dive be looped? Either he's diving toward the ground or he's in a loop, which is it? And of course he's able to shoot down two aircraft while somehow managing to stealthily disappear from all radar screens. But at least the writer got one thing right: it is unbelievable.
You know, Hama may have had his own cheesy ideas from time to time, but he knew something about military tactics and he usually created interesting characters with real quirks or peccadillos. I know I'm taking a risk by assuming that this file card probably wasn't written by Hama (although he wrote most of them) or perhaps there was some outside influence if he did, but that paragraph is just hackneyed drivel.
It's like they weren't even trying. They just thought: No kid is really reading these cards, anyway. Screw it!
