Larry Hama gave us some deeper insight into Clutch's Jewish heritage and how WWII greatly affected his family. We see a grittier, more somber side of Clutch there, and the ending is truly priceless.
This is easily one of my top five favourite stories from the ARAH comics*. It was reprinted in the UK Action Force annual in 1988, as the strip story alongside the prose story "HAVOC in the Outback". It made a deep impression on me as one of the most grown-up stories I'd ever read in a comic to that point.
*I'd probably pick this, Shake Down - the Rattler V Skysktriker story from #34; Ambush from Special Missions #8; The Battle of Springfield from #50 and Silent Interlude from #21.
