I'd say it depends on the mission. If a team is going to another nation to train their forces (not FID, but actually training host nation troops), then they'd need to be up to speed on the host nation weapons, especially if they're training host nation hostage rescue teams or commando teams. If a team is doing a clandestine op they may be using foreign "deniable" weapons throughout. If they're employed on force development they may be evaluating foreign weapons with an aim to eventually procuring some.
