Both teams have the same amount of work to do. If both teams have 100% posting every day, without any missed posts, at the end of the day both teams will accomplish the same amount of KOs and Objectives.
What that means is that at the end of the third day, if everyone posts, both teams should be tied dead even, theoretically of course.
The advantage of the smaller team, is that if it takes 100% posting to do the job, the small team with 10 players can get that done in a few seconds. The larger team with 100 players might take the entire day to get in their 100 posts. The smaller team will always be faster.
Speed matters more when it comes to the Strike targets, not so much for the drones and objectives. It doesn't become an issue really until the final night. If both teams are even going into the last night, the smaller team has a huge speed advantage.
The advantage of the larger team, is that with more players, you can have one of every special class, and still have the required number of Soldiers, Medics and Rangers. You have a well rounded roster. Having a good balance of classes can help a larger team against the speed advantage of the smaller team.
The smaller team would have to choose, do we want a commando, Sniper, and Covert Ops, or do we give up a commando and go with a driver instead? The larger team will have have more options setting up the classes.
Another advantage for a larger team, is that if you have 10 guys on your team, and one player drops out, or doesn't post, you just lost 10% of your team. If you have 100 players, you only lost 1% of your team.
Assuming that everything else is equal, the big difference will be team setup, and strategy. One team might have more Medics, the other might have more Rangers and less Soldiers. One team might focus on the Objectives first, then move on to targets, or vice-verse. Different roads to the same destination, and different strengths and weaknesses in the class setup.
The ideal situation is for both teams to have around the same amount of players, give or take. That creates a balanced setup for both teams. The rest is up to your creativity and judgment.

The 10 percent vs 1 percent was the part I wanted to explain.
I don't mind having less players (less pms to send), but
meant to explain how they might not have to be at every reset.
In any case, no one was trying to suggest anything was unfair.
Merely some grumbling after a closely contested battle.
