Or just use some Flag or Battle Points. Even for those who don't have them, I saw a set of 50+ go for less than ten bucks on eBay over the weekend.

That is what houses all of my flag points. it is so full that the lid won't even close. LOL Just could never get rid of the thing and now it comes in handy if need be.
I'm something of a pack rat myself, although not as bad as I once was. I'd still have all of my Flag Points, too, but I missed a couple months rent on the storage unit where I was keeping my comics and toys at age 17, and I had nowhere else to store it. That was the end of that. I had been on my own for about a year at that time, and finances were just... well, nonexistent. I started collecting again at age 22.
My mother, on the other hand, is the biggest pack rat I know. I should have just left all that stuff with her.

That just bugs me. Sell it for whatever you think it's worth to you...
Put it on there at cost..see where it goes from there, you may be surprised how much more an auction like that sells for more than one that starts high.
Absolutely. Bidding activity generates more interest, and you get more activity by starting with a lower dollar amount. Of course, when I sell things on eBay, I'm usually just trying to make back what I've put into something. Sometimes I fall short, and sometimes I'm suprised with a few extra bucks.
And I agree with what you said above. I come to this site to read, learn, share knowledge, and exchange ideas,
not
to advertise eBay auctions. On the one hand, I think it's cool that such posts are permitted here. A lot of sites don't allow that, and personally, I find the overly sanctimonious anti-selling-anything-above-retail-cost attitude adopted as the "official" position of some larger sites to be ridiculous. I'm simply not comfortable with the idea of advertising to a group of people with whom I chat online. That's just me, though.
