exactly. not only that, but HTS is a separate business entity from Hasbro, which Hasbro supplies with stock. sure, they are owned by Hasbro, but they are run as their own business and have to be profitable as well. the idea that anyone thinks Hasbro should just produce an infinite amount of product for HTS, and should never run out so collectors can have a direct pipeline to whatever they want, whenever they want, since they are owned by Hasbro, is ludicrous.
Hasbro has lots of customers, and HTS is simply one of them, and probably one of their smallest. it isn't as if HTS simply runs into the Hasbro warehouse which is filled with all the newest toys at every given moment, and picks out items as they are sold, they are allotted a certain amount that is dictated by sales forecasts, and it is better to err on the side of caution than have product that doesn't sell. just like Target or Walmart, HTS doesn't want to be stuck with items that don't sell either.
