Admittedly, some of this is my underlying bias that 3.75 figures are not worth $10 (which they are close to being now at $9 plus tax). But, having said that, $15 for a 6-inch figure with good sculpt, accessories, and a BAF, seems to be the right price, even though DCUC was about $13 when they first came out.
My only real problem with ML1 is that (with the exception of Hope) everyone else was released previously in 3.75 form. Now, I am wondering whether Hasbro, by increasing the price of MU by 12.5% from $7.99 (or 28.5% from $6.99) but pricing ML at $15 is favoring ML
Like any good dealer, Hasbro (and Target/Walmart) start small to lure you in. Then, once you're addicted and they have their hooks in you, they raise the prices like crazy.
25th GI Joes were under $5 at Walmart when they first came out in 2007. Now they're 9 dollars! ML will be $30 apiece in a year or two.
Ok. Maybe that's exaggerating, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them 20 dollars by Christmas
